Margaritaville Skier Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 New Vokls already delivered. UPS guy laughs every time he makes a delivery of ski equipment to my house. Making a special trip north in Sept to have the bindings mounted. In the countdown mode, 4 1/2 months to go for me. Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Alot of precip this summer, I hope it holds through and winter is very white At least the snowmaking ponds will be full... As long as the jet drops like it is supposed to, we should be fine... Went too far north last year :-( Quote
Tyler Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Scoping out some fresh boots already, maybe some 32s, I've heard good things. Can't wait to trade the AC for the fire pit, and start awkwardly putting on all my gear to walk around the house. Can't go wrong with 32's. Put 250+ days on my old pair and I've probably got a good 60-70 on a pair now and their still in great shape. Highly recommend over DC or burton Quote

AtomicSkier Posted August 21, 2012 Report Posted August 21, 2012 I too enjoy waxing my skis. Nothing like some loud music and a few beers in the workshop. I'm into the pleasure/pain thing...I wear sandals while waxing my skis Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 went golfing the other day... major changing of leaves starting to occur and a lot have started falling. every green had leaves blowing down onto them. That's good to hear... Probably going up to the MRV in two weeks, and the leaves and colors should be really popping at that time... Still two weeks at that point from peak foliage, but still should have good color... I'm getting stoked... First frost probably isn't that far away in the north country... Quote
RidgeRacer Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 It's labor day. It's all down hill from here (pun intended). Quote
moe ghoul Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Quiet desperation and eager anticipation time draws closer. I'm picking over the bones of a few sales looking to add a few pieces of gear if the price is right. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I'm pretty set equipment wise. Might use these boots another year...don't have a lot of motivation to break in another pair this year. Picking up new outwear (jacket/pants). Both are 3 years old, and while still in perfect condition, have served me well. Time for some new colors. Quote
guitar73 Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 upgrading from the ski rack to a ski box. i was eyeing up one on craigslist, but we ended up finding a yakima skybox 12 on sale at REI. it's on backorder...(approx 3 wks to arrival) but that's ok, no skiing yet. Quote
