My 2013 Winter Prediction

I went back to work today and halfway through the morning session of meetings they kicked us out of the building for unhealthy levels of mold in the school. We were told to return on Monday. This means that we are starting off the school year with 3 days that have to be made up in June. Which means that it will be a cold and snowy winter in the OC with many snow days and I will be stuck in school till June 30th.

Yea it was like that 2 years ago...but atleast it was cold enough to blow and keep snow that year.

Nothing...but because of it we have to tack on extra days to the end of the year. Stoked now, but wont be in June.

Eagle Rock is where it's at. They have the nicest Bar/Lodge in the Pokes...My crew is 15 deep this year. Watch out!

3 fams. All little kids 2-8 years old. Eagle Rock is great...we have the whole mountain to ourselves. We will be there until my girls are older.

Still renting...theres no rush. The market hasn't changed up there ever. We will probably do a year rental up there soon and see how often we use it, before buying.

I thought the same thing, but insurance is paying for it. They better find money our contract is up and I need a raise.

When I started it was over 5%. Now you're lucky to get 2.5%. But it's distributed so that some people end up getting under 1% and others get over 10%, depending on the step on the salary guide.

I'm hoping for a 10% raise next year...depends if we can keep pumping out a lot of tombstones...we've never had less than a

5% raise...even at 5% takes 14 years for pay to double.

 

You're right and most teacher pay scales are set up with 1st year teachers making half of what a 15th year teacher makes.

I wouldn't want to be a teacher except maybe high school but that's mainly cause that's when the girls are hottest

 

college. some of my students are like 18... but some go all the way up to the 50s. cougar.
