Ride Delaware ? Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 FYI posted on the web site. Open Tues with 4 trails Beginners, West, Tioga, and Susquehanna. 8:00-4:30. Tickets $30. Typical opening day setup for them.. Nice to see them opening... Hopefully they can expand it quickly once the temps drop... And for $30 too? Usually it full price right away... At least it has been in the past... Quote
RidgeRacer Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 $30 to lap Susquehanna seems a bit high 1 Quote
RidgeRacer Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 that's also high. 20 bucks should be the Max right now. 1 Quote
JFskiDan Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 If im not mistaken, BB was charging $50 over the weekend. Dragonfire is still not open. 1 Quote
toast21602 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Yeah and camelback was $30 with the voucher. T2b Quote
Kyle Posted December 19, 2012 Report Posted December 19, 2012 anyone ski yesterday? TR? My buddy works there and from what he told me it was just typical opening day conditions. Soft snow, not alot of coverage. Quote
Winter Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 Seeing as though there isn't any other resorts open east of the big river, I guess they are thinking they'll get a draw from anxious skiers to get busy. They probably will. I'm holding out til after x-mas, i need some variety and better snow. Quote
indiggio Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 What's the big river? Delaware? Quote
rummy Posted December 20, 2012 Author Report Posted December 20, 2012 2nd hand TR. A friend said Tues was the worst opening day he saw in the last 30 years with rain most of the day. Another friend skied Wed. He checked out the mtn opening day around 3:00 and it was pouring. He thought they'd have terrible conditions but, conditions surprised him and were very good. "Elk worked it's magic again." Terrain was limited but the snow was very good and the slopes were almost empty, mainly SP holders. Quote
trackbiker Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 Their website doesn't have anything about opening. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 Their website doesn't have anything on it... I write an email every year complaining about how outdated and user unfriendly it is... I used to get some bullshit PR response, but now they don't even try... Quote
NMSKI Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 Webcam still under construction, let me fix that shit Quote
Winter Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 Elk shuns everything but electricity and even that is new to them. WTF is WIFI? Quote
trackbiker Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 Even with a sh!ttY website they could list that they are open and update the snow conditions page. 1 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted December 21, 2012 Report Posted December 21, 2012 Even with a sh!ttY website they could list that they are open and update the snow conditions page. They did last time I checked... Which was this morning... Webcam still under construction, let me fix that shit It was working last year and it was a great upgrade from the once a month daily photo... But in typical Elk fashion, no dice... Quote

Old Geezer Posted December 22, 2012 Report Posted December 22, 2012 Anyone have any insights on what trails will be opening in the next two or three days? Quote
guitar73 Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 i'm gonna guess they are going to stay with the current set up for a bit (unless they get dumped upon)....typical MO. Quote
NMSKI Posted December 26, 2012 Report Posted December 26, 2012 Going up there tomorrow, hoping the snow keeps up rather than lots of freezing rain. Anybody else? Quote
