sibhusky Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 Dumping all day. Spent a serious amount of time off piste with a class I was in. Pretty sure I'm ten years older than the rest of them and 30 years older than most of them. Help! Quote
sibhusky Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 Doug if I get to 76, I will probably go out in the woods and lay down in the snow some night. There is NO WAY I ever want to be like my mom was. Quote
sibhusky Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 94. But, really I "lost her" years ago. Quote
sibhusky Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 Vail was never even under discussion. Nowhere in Colorado was under discussion. Lake Louise definitely was. Quote
toast21602 Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Sibhusky do you understand sarcasm? Do you have to taint up every thread on PASR? 4 Quote
sibhusky Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 Sibhusky do you understand sarcasm? With you, Doug, any question is possibly serious. I can ignore you or answer you. You should feel privileged when I even read what you've written. 2 Quote
vinnyv11 Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Good med looks great. Crazy amount of snow up there it looks like. Quote
sibhusky Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) Got seven more in the last 24 hours. Eighty inch base. There are no groomers today, it is apparently covering as fast as they groom. And it's supposed to keep on coming into Monday. Edited January 10, 2014 by sibhusky 3 Quote
sibhusky Posted January 12, 2014 Author Report Posted January 12, 2014 There was another tree well death today. http://www.flatheadbeacon.com/articles/article/skier_dies_in_tree_well_at_whitefish_mountain_resort/37359#.UtH51sEHIPo.facebook Quote
Barb Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Tree wells scare the hell out of me. I am always warning my kids to never lose sight of their buddy especially in the trees. They "yeah yeah" me but hopefully some of it sinks in. Thankfully the older son is starting to prefer the bumps on Mary Jane to trees. Quote
sibhusky Posted January 12, 2014 Author Report Posted January 12, 2014 I've stopped skiing with several friends because they do not watch in the trees. Might as well be by myself. At least then I can choose my own route. Some of these things are six to nine feet deep. Quote
Mixilplix Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 It's pretty wild that Whitefish is involved in a lawsuit regarding tree wells...... Quote
sibhusky Posted January 12, 2014 Author Report Posted January 12, 2014 Apparently they are supposed to mark all 1 million of them. Quote
toast21602 Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 Apparently they are supposed to mark all 1 million of them. They don't already?! Quote
guitar73 Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 personal responsibility: it's severely lacking these days... Quote

sibhusky Posted January 13, 2014 Author Report Posted January 13, 2014 Today. High winds, but no closed lifts. Quote
Kyle Posted January 13, 2014 Report Posted January 13, 2014 Speaking of winds and closed lifts, did anyone see the video from Bridger on Saturday? Quote
sibhusky Posted January 14, 2014 Author Report Posted January 14, 2014 Yep. Can't say I'd be in a rush to be on that without an inspector after that kind of ravaging. Quote
