sibhusky Posted December 12 Author Report Posted December 12 If only I were 70 again... I hit Super Senior status a few years ago. I have two pairs of skis, both pretty old. Nordica Hell 'n' Backs for powder and K2 iKonic 84xTi for groomers. A third pair is still in use for the first few days of a season, but those have 300 days on them and decidedly showing their age. But the iKonics have 2 layers of metal and require aggression and confidence to perform, so they don't come out until I'm feeling that way. 4 Quote

Hey I always try and guess on the low side but way to get after it…we all appreciate your fantastic pictures from Montana. My Montana friend sold his house in Bozeman last year that he purchased in 2005 and moved back to the Boston area to take care of his elderly mom. Whats funny is he now has an Ikon pass which gets hiM five days at blue mountain. I’ve only skied with him at Bridger bowl, Big Sky, Grand Targhee and Jackson Hole…never Blue…crazier things have happened. Philpug skied with us at Blue like 18 years ago because he lost a bet with me and he had a blast!!!! Quote
sibhusky Posted December 14 Author Report Posted December 14 Day 5 (yesterday). Empty again. Can't imagine why🤣. This was before it got bad. It normally improves. Not sure why I'm handling it better this year. PXL_20241213_185017910~3.mp4 2 Quote
sibhusky Posted December 15 Author Report Posted December 15 Day 6. The locals realized the resort was open and skipped church, so I moved over to slower lifts, including the T-bar to Whisky Spring, which I haven't done in a few years. 6 Quote
sibhusky Posted December 16 Author Report Posted December 16 Day 7. Back to no liftlines. More snow on the way. 5 1 Quote
sibhusky Posted December 19 Author Report Posted December 19 Day 8. Had some sun, so more people. 8 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted December 20 Report Posted December 20 You’re getting lots of days in this season. Good for you! 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 20 Report Posted December 20 I hope you always put the bar down that’s a heck of a cliff…no footrests on that one but I don’t mind a little dangle unless the winds get crazy 1 Quote
sibhusky Posted December 20 Author Report Posted December 20 It's a steep lift ride. The first year it was open they had to evacuate people from it. I never ride it unless I've hit the ladies' room recently. 1 Quote
sibhusky Posted December 20 Author Report Posted December 20 Day 9. Pretty warm. Had to wear my "getting dripped on" coat. 4 Quote
sibhusky Posted December 22 Author Report Posted December 22 Day 10. More people than I like, so only skied until noon. PXL_20241222_165312044~3.mp4 PXL_20241222_190239481~2.mp4 3 Quote

sibhusky Posted December 23 Author Report Posted December 23 Day 11. Crowds, serious fog (literally lost track of the trail entirely at one point), plus google rime. I stopped before noon. 3 Quote
sibhusky Posted Wednesday at 09:46 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 09:46 PM Day 12. Christmas. Crowds about like a Sunday. Fog pretty bad on and off. Mountain not entirely open, but close. 4 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted Wednesday at 10:11 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:11 PM You’ve had a lot of fog this year. Quote

Fortunately, my goggles are really helping with it. Changed from rose lenses to yellow and it was a huge improvement. Found another shot. Not sure where it was hiding before. 3 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted Wednesday at 11:12 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 11:12 PM I really like my yellow lens for low light. 1 Quote
sibhusky Posted Thursday at 05:35 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 05:35 PM There won't be any more pics for a while. Christmas week. Might go again 12/30 and regret it. Otherwise, 1/1. 1 Quote
