RidgeRacer Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Just back from a great day at Frost. Me and my daughter got there around 12:15, Parked in a prime spot, booted and passed up and headed down T bolt to East for some Rivershot, Elevator action. There we met up with JFDan, Guitar, Tiny Moose and Wendy from the SkiDiva who will hopefully become a PASR soon. We hung out on East for a bit and even skied Floyds for Doug (Doug - today Floyd's Folly featured a fast, frozen cord and sugary surface, very grippy and no ice. Not as good as last weekend but if the radar guns were out then it would be clocking Bode Miller type speeds).Vadar was crunchy and crusty but easily skiable and grippy. The bottom is thin and rocks were poking out somewhat. We headed west skiing Challenge, T-Bolt, did a bump run on Exhibition and and few runs on One Park before everyone peaced out. My little one and I stayed till 4 then hit up the Micky D's on 940. Today was so much fun. No crowds to speak of and really great snow. They're still rocking a nice base and plenty of snow in the trees - not all akiable but white in the trees always looks better than dirt or grass. No word on closing. It would be a shame if they did close with the amount of snow left. Who knows - maybe next weekend at Frost is a possibility. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 Roasted duck with raspberry glaze. Washed it down with Grand Mariner. My daughter had a shirley temple. 2 Quote
guitar73 Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 word, today was loads of fun; good snow & meeting another pasr. we arrived about 9:10am, and took our time booting up. met up with jfskidan and headed over to east mtn to see what was up. it was pretty chilly and cloudy, snow was very carvable and softened up a little bit towards the end of the day. elevator looked really crusty and glazed over in the morning. we didn't ski it until we met up with ridge racer. bumps on exhibition were crusty on top and rock hard underneath. trees were not skiable in the morning. flyods got better in the afternoon: nice and sloughy sugar hid the boilerplate base very nicely. we called it a day around 3pm....après in the e2000 lounge. phillycore Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 :-( spent the day getting my pofs car inspected and playing chauffeur all day. Some days are better than others.... Quote

burton71 Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 Boulder was a ton of fun yesterday afternoon. Got there a bit before 3 after riding Blue in the morning. Snow at Boulder was difinitely better than Blue, still spring like and soft but was holding together better and not rutting out everwhere. Not sure if Boulder has a closing date planned yet, but it looks like they could keep a few runs open to mid April no problem. Quote
Kyle Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 The 90 footer at boulder looks absolutely rediculous Quote
