moe ghoul
was pretty magical. Got up there last Friday and skied lift served Sat/Sun. Sunday was the final day at Smuggs and it was quite the sight. Woke up early to a light covering of dense snow/sneet on the deck and that ended up being a coupla inches up high. It continued to snow, sneet, styrofoam ball and on the ride home that afternoon, faceted ice diamonds filled the windshield. Everything was filled in, soft and fun. Hiked up Sterling and Madonna on Mon/Tues in shorts and long sleeved tee enjoying peel away corn and creamed corn/mank by late afternoon. . A memorable end to this season. I'm sure he thinks like me in this respect, and if the opportunity presents itself, and he can't make it to VT, but wants to scratch the itch, he will have a gander at a PA mountain... moe ghoul
it looks like you are done skiing in PA... Not done, but I had to set some limitations on how to spend the ski dollars. If the poconos had gotten some serious natural snow I would've saddled up for a ride somewhere. Manmade groomies, not so much. Hey, I drove to WV twice in 3 years, so I'm always game if conditions are right. I managed to get a pretty good season in all things considered. I definitely did miss an occasional midweek trip up to Blue or Elk between VT trips, but that's the discipline.
