moe ghoul Posted October 30, 2013 Report Posted October 30, 2013 Noice!!! Jonesing dude those pics look hot. Yeah, Powder Mag is on the phone wanting to buy them, that's the downside of skiing solo with an iphone and few photo skillz. Spoke to TC and we may make an early run up to Jay in the AM, chance for a burst of snow with the warm front moving up. 2 Quote
JFskiDan Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 Nice.....snow.....ski....cant wait. I'm pretty much the last person that should be handing out tech advise, but try taking pics on the Iphone with the home button always pointed to the right. Quote
xNick11 Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 I'm hoping to get back on my skis starting this Thanksgiving weekend! From there on out hopefully I can set at least one day a week where I can go skiing throughout the rest of the season. I've just been so god darn busy anymore! Priorities! Quote
xNick11 Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 I deleted Facebook 4 years ago... I have IG and LinkedIn if you want to see what I've been up to. I'm doing good, got my BS degree last year...so been doing "BS" work ever since. How about you? Maybe we can catch up on some skiing this year!? Oh and beer! Quote
AtomicSkier Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 just booked Tahoe flights...stoked to ski new places. 4 Quote
rummy Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 I wish Elk did a $29 day. Wishful thinking. They have "Wild Wednesdays"..$20 with college ID, and coupons from (I think) Miller or Coors Lite cases get you a $20 ticket too. Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 I only get up there on the rare occasion that they are getting snow and jfbb are getting rain. We drove up one time in the rain on a Saturday and they gave us half price tickets since it was raining up there also. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Where can I get my hands on said case of beer with $20 ticket?I would also be interested in finding said case of beer. What a great deal; buy a case of parking lot tinnies, ski for $20. Quote
RootDKJ Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Miller and coors lite is not real beer. More like sparkling piss water. 3 Quote

RidgeRacer Posted November 2, 2013 Author Report Posted November 2, 2013 It's actually fitting that the best place to find a decent Elk deal is in a case of beer. 2 Quote
rummy Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Beer can be found at distributor just off exit 206 (the Elk exit) at the gas station. Can also be found at the Clifford dist. in Clifford. I 'm sure it's available at others in local area. The deal doesn't start until January, usually first Wed. Sorry about the beer.... 1 Quote

I'm not paying Elk's insane window prices anymore. Even when I was an instructor, they would tell me that I had to pay full price. Meanwhile every mountain that I've skied at in Utah (with the exception of Alta) offers an industry discount. Quote
NMSKI Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 You could actually dump the beer and still come out $10 ahead. 1 Quote
RootDKJ Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 I'd rather give the extra $10 to Elk than support shitty brewers. 1 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Give the miller lite to Melissa!!Haven't seen her around here lately. Probably too busy making bank off class action lawsuits... Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 probably because of Doug.I hear there is big money in class action tombstone suits. People hate when you get their names wrong. Quote
indiggio Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Grandma got run over by a reindeer walking home from our house Christmas eve Sure it wasn't a Cadillac with a deadhead sticker on it? 1 Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 I think they should start around the 15th and open around the 20th. The night time temps look good. Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 What forecast are you looking at for the 15th? http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/lake-harmony-pa/18624/daily-weather-forecast/7589_pc?day=11 This one. It looks to get and stay cold. With those temps they could open the whole mountain by thanksgiving. Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 If it's good I believe it. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 I'm always skeptical of accuweather. They are pretty optimistic to me. I am fairly confident with TWCs, but each to his own. Whatever gets the stoke rising and the mountain open earlier. Quote
