I should title this "Is anything new at Elk for 2013/2014?" Past practice has been they get four new tires for a snow plow truck and it's considered an "imporvement." The skiing is still top notch, though.

Any pass holders here care to chime in?

The only place they ever list improvements is on the wall in the lodge beside the ticket entrance. I think they also send out the improvements when they send out season passes? Outside those two options, the easiest route may be to call and ask. I send ranting emails every year about their terrible website and lack of information, but after the second one, they stop responding.

Actually they could use one. So could frost, montage etc. The pros outweigh the cons.

I'm sure they could use one, but I don't need one to make my day there worth it. With the path the owner is on, I don't think we will see a major lift project there in the next 10 years. So, would it be nice? For some people. Is it necessary? No. Will it happen? Doubtful.

ya, more trees that we can't ski in :glare:

And lately they have been getting in the habit of fencing the real young ones in, so you can't even break the rules. Although, one year they had one fence so low it was pretty easy to hop.

Took the words right off of my fingertips. Haven't been there in a year or two for this reason. It's a great mountain don't get me wrong, I just hate seeing all that good terrain and getting hassled for poaching it. Ordering snow camo 1 piece in 3...2....1...

You know who else didn't like tree skiing ? Hitler and we all know how that worked out. Seriously though how the fuck can anyone support that kinda shit......

I don't know why everyone busts a nut on Elk, the trails are boring straight down the fall line. I get the low crowds, good snow shit and it has some coolness about it but it ain't even VT's dirty sweaty nutsack....Lackawanna Spur though is pretty hot trail name, definitely top 10.
