Yeah last night was definitely fun. Firm fast snow that didn't turn into death cookies. Pretty surprised at the amount of snow they were able to kick out in a few days...should definitely be able to expand the open terrain by the weekend.

A new park setup for the weekend would be pretty sweet as well.

Tom, any plans to set up the propane tank as a double hit again like you had last year? That was one of the more fun features at the end of the season

Who's Tom? My friend is still waiting to see if he got the job as dishwasher at BC...I told him about the cheese fries and he's stoked.

Tom, the park manager. He's skierthomas on here.

Come on you know better than to feed the troll....

I do. In all honesty I looked at it quickly and thought he was serious. Should slap myself in the face for that one.

He can troll the bear creek forums all he wants but the second you go into blue and post something that's not directly blue related he gets his panties in a bundle about cunting up threads

They probably had that much new snow before the sleet and freezing rain compacted it. How are crowds there?

No we never hit over 7 inches. And crowds are non existent for a Sunday

I think the turn over to ice and rain at the end of the storm probably kept a lot of people away. Oh well made yesterday morning even more fun for me. Great snow all over the mountain again with powder stashes and soft cord everywhere.

Wet Snow (WS) or Wet Powder (WP) are commonly used terms on conditions reports. Typically they refer to unpacked powder snow that has became moist / heavy from a thaw or rain.

What's with the abundance of cheese fries discussion?

A few years ago BC used to offer some epicly good cheese fries in the Grille. It was like $4.5 for a bucket of curly fries topped with melted cheddar cheese, bacon, sour cream, and green onions. It was enough food to render a normal person immobile for at least 3 hours. Combined with a happy hour pitcher of beer it was a perfect ending to a day of riding for under $10. Sadly those are no longer offered and have been replaced with what they call American Poutine. Which is fries, with gravy and cheddar cheese. While delicious...they don't quite stack up to the now defunct bucket of cheesy goodness.

*pours out some melted cheese*

It is also just Doug beating a joke into the ground until any trace of humor has been completely and utterly destroyed.

I wish food at a mountain wasn't so expensive, i mean at the cafeteria its $12 for chicken fingers, fries and a drink. Way to overpriced.

Trails end is a little more reasonable with some better food. Tuna melt for only like $7

Today/tonight was real fun. Snow was soft and fast. Park rode nice. When I was leaving at 8:30 they were turning the guns on. They should have enough snow to outlast this weekends spring blast.
