indiggio Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Saw Tut's Lane lights on from my window this morning. Their FB page shows snow being blown! Say they hope to open Black Friday... (Not holding my breath) Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 I'm in for Friday night if that happens 1 Quote
indiggio Posted November 13, 2013 Author Report Posted November 13, 2013 Next week's lows after Monday look pretty promising... Quote
guitar73 Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 still blowing...didn't think they'd blow this late into the morning. 1 Quote
trackbiker Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Guns are off now at 11:40am. I guess it got too warm or too warm to make snow efficiently. It's an automatic system IIRC. Quote
trackbiker Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 I was surprised to see that they even blew snow in the valley. I would have thought that they would have put as much production as possible into getting a good base on Vista and Main Street. I hope it all doesn't melt this weekend. Quote

Ride Delaware ? Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 inversion. Must not have been a drastic one if they were blowing t2b. Temps were either even or way colder in the valley. I hope it all doesn't melt this weekend.I can't imagine it would all melt. Didn't Toast say it was a decent amount, just not enough to groom out and open? In whales it should be ok? Quote
toast21602 Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 they weren't blowing top to bottom last night. That's why the bottom was lit up and the top had no activity. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) They were blowing in the valley when I drove past at 8am this morning. Nothing up top. Edited November 15, 2013 by Ridge Racer Quote

They definetely don't want to push it out for this warm spell. It looks like they may have pushed some out on Vista from the cam but can't really tell. Quote

guitar73 Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 If they open a week or two after thanksgiving that would be excellent. Last year it was only vista for two days pre XMAS. and last year it got really warm in early/mid dec......i'm hoping that doesn't repeat this year... Quote
indiggio Posted November 15, 2013 Author Report Posted November 15, 2013 It only happens most years lol Let's try to avoid thinking such thoughts... 1 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Let's try to avoid thinking such thoughts...He's just starting to get old and hate snow like all the old people in the valley. It's wishful thinking. The season starts earlier than he makes it sound almost every year. Haters gonna hate!!! 2 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Your not hoping for anything, but your tone says otherwise... Snow hater!!! Quote
RootDKJ Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 Good on Blue to take a risk and go for it. The weather forecast is often very wrong. I'm sure they really want to avoid a repeat of last year. It's fun to watch the guns in action on the webcams. 2 Quote
guitar73 Posted November 15, 2013 Report Posted November 15, 2013 IMHO...it's better to blow early to cool off the ground....makes for quicker base building. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 It's hard to believe they were closed 3 weeks. Wow. Quote
zzslope Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 I'm a realist!!!! With a pessimist lean? 3 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 You know it was bad if Toast, Root, and Jeff went to CB for the Sunbowl trail... 1 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 16, 2013 Report Posted November 16, 2013 Or donate food/toys. I like the idea. They used to do the same thing at SR. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 If the damage isn't much worse, they could pull off an opening next week. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 Main street is the closest thing to legit skiing in PA right now. I'm pulling for blue to pull it off for next weekend. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 18, 2013 Report Posted November 18, 2013 Yeah, I just saw the forecast for next week and came to revise my prediction lol Quote
