Shadows Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) he seems to be the only true bum left. although an extremely well off bum. everyone else is just after work workout routine or vacation from the kids type skiers. or the in-between college and real life people who just want to transition drinking routines. Can't wait to go to blue this weekend to train for skiing at blue this season! I didn't know that making a career doing something I enjoy and skiing as much as I can in my free time meant that I sold out. Shit. Edit: just finished a world wide stout and preseason stoke/anxiety is at an all time high. No feelings are meant to be hurt by my post. Let's go ski this weekend. Shadows, lemme know if you're tryin to get up to blue at all. I'll do my best to keep KT from giving you a mullet in the parking lot. Edited November 26, 2013 by Justo8484 3 Quote

RidgeRacer Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Somebody last night at poker was saying I can't believe you're really skiing opening day. Isn't there only gonna be a couple trails open...had me SMH shaking my Herman!!! image.jpg Sometimes you're actually funny. Lol 1 Quote

moe ghoul Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 What's the verdict tonite? Turned into a rain event up there? Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 It's crap. rain / frozen rain. Quote
toast21602 Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 lots of freezing rain up near Blue. Some of the back roads are really shitty. Quote
Schif Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Nothing but rain going on up in the Scranton area. All the white that we had last night is gone. Good luck to anyone going out tonight, it's going to be a mess of black ice and DUI check points. Quote
trackbiker Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Blue is grooming out Main Street so you guys will have a nice bulletproof surface on Friday after todays rain and then the freeze up tonight. Why they wouldn't wait until some of the water drains out is beyond me. But then they may not have their trademark death cookies if they did that. 1 Quote
indiggio Posted November 27, 2013 Author Report Posted November 27, 2013 Blue will blow on top of the groomed surface before opening...and also in Barney's bumps to get moguls started. Trackbiker I gonna be at blue Friday They'll blow on top of the re-freeze which will be scraped right off within the first hour after open, there's your start of the bumps... Gonna be a circus watching everyone out for the first day. Bodies strewn all over the place. 1 Quote
indiggio Posted November 27, 2013 Author Report Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) I don't know about that opening day it's mostly competent skiers and riders who don't fall much. Hopefully there will be some fresh man made so there will be push piles to get air off of. Hope you're correct, but it being Black Friday, kids off, etc., I'm not putting any money down... Perhaps many will be too stuffed from Thanksgiving to venture out. Edited November 27, 2013 by indiggio Quote
guitar73 Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Gonna be a circus watching everyone out for the first day. Bodies strewn all over the place. lol...that's half the fun of skiing at blue right there 1 Quote

Johnny Law Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Webcams look good, if they can blow some tonight and tomorrow night they should be in good shape for Friday. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 doesn't look like they lost too much...even some snow left in the trees...sharpen those edges! 1 Quote
AtomicSkier Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Are the edges on the mantras you tuned for me sharp enough for hyper carving?? They're sharp enough for you to go straight. 1 Quote
