tinymoose Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Whoa! Elk is planning to open next week, the 3rd or 4th. Quote
tinymoose Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 Dunno. Says they're opening with 7-8 trails, so I'd guess no? Sorry, meant no, as in no discount. So I would guess full price with that many trails. Do they normally discount first day? Quote
Johnny Law Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Wow Blue opening before elk. But how ? Clearly that isn't possible as Elk Mtn is the greatest place in the whole world. What did we pay this year for Blue ? Elk pass is 880 hahahahhaha 3 Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 If RideDE owned Elk they'd open Friday and he'd greet every customer with a handshake and a reach around. 880 is alot do they even have a gondola??? Seriously who are you and how did you access GSS account. That's twice I lol'd at one of your posts today. Just don't ever call me your groupie though. Quote
rummy Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 Dunno. Says they're opening with 7-8 trails, so I'd guess no? Sorry, meant no, as in no discount. So I would guess full price with that many trails. Do they normally discount first day? Where'd that info come from? Not doubting you--good to see. I never saw an opening day discount, probably hit 8 out of the last ten. I (only) paid $760 for my SP Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 GSS posts some funny shit. Back in the day I read his blue trip reports every night. They were classic. Quote
tinymoose Posted November 26, 2013 Author Report Posted November 26, 2013 It's on their site under ski conditions. They should have a gondola, since it's like Vermont and all... 2 Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 26, 2013 Report Posted November 26, 2013 I'd love to own the place. Serious discounts for PASRs, woods open, and possibly a HSQ for the main base area. So many possibilities. I'm also about customer service, so I would change the website, get a social media presence, and shake hands. As for the reach around? It ain't gonna shake itself. If they do a discount, it will likely be full price with a half price voucher for later in the season. That was the MO in past years, but it hasn't been done lately. Quote
Kyle Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 The new Popeyes in coatesville has a 45 minute wait, dead serious Think about that. Popeyes. Coatesville. Explains a lot Quote
moe ghoul Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 45 minutes is slow fastfood. Quote
NMSKI Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Popeyes biscuits are just as good as the chicken. Mmmmm Quote
moe ghoul Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Ya I went to McDonald's across the street and the whole process took like a minute. The Popeyes on Flatbush ave in Brooklyn was my shit. Chicken dippers with blackened ranch were only like $5 and a lot better than the hood spots like Kennedy fried chicken and crown fried chicken. I went to Popeyes every night for about 2 months straight I haven't eaten Popeye's since the last century. But now I'll be tempted to check it out. The wife and I usually hit KFC for lunch when we get off of 87 on our ride up north. Quote
moe ghoul Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Funny how the Elk thread devolved into fast food chicken talk. But Elk doesn't care. 1 Quote
NMSKI Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 popeyes>kfc IMO Popeyes > Church's > KFC Although I can't say i've noticed if we have Church's chicken in the region. Its big in the south/SW. Quote
guitar73 Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 i'd put money down that they're gonna charge full price for 7-8 trais. that's just how they roll.... Quote
NMSKI Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 the only churches ive ever seen around here is in suburban station in philly. i went there years ago but dont remember how good it was That's right, now that you mention it I remember eating lunch at that churches often when I worked at 16th and Market. I'd eat chicken and listen to a homeless guy play a keyboard and sing. Dude was really talented. Quote
rummy Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 How about starting up a fried chicken thread. . 1 Quote
Johnny Law Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Bojangles>all others The only one I know that is in the NE is in Reading, it's dirty as fuck and delicious. 1 Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 the white castle i used to go to, the employees behind the bullet proof glass had to press a buzzer to let you in the bathroom. there was ALWAYS shit smeared all over the walls ya, they take their sweet ass time at white castle lol They got a remodel, don't know if you were still there when they finished. Its like walking into a completelty different store. No shit on the walls anymore. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 27, 2013 Report Posted November 27, 2013 Not to prolong this douchey thread jack game but I'd be remiss if I didn't share that the Mickey D's in Walnutport is 100 percent baller. Quote
