C1erArt Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Nice snowfall overnight. First few freshy runs were great. Got cut up pretty fast, but still nice. Challenge glade hid some rocks so some work on my bases and edges tonight. Great day overall. SkiDan in the house. Bottom of Challenge on the first run. Quote
toast21602 Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 looks good! nice snow at Blue today as well. Quote
JFskiDan Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Didnt look quite that nice when i got there. Left a few minutes late and got behind too many vehicles going too slow. Still nice conditions. Trails that didnt get freshened up are down to ice, like floyds. Crowded except east chair. Quote
poconoceancity Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Got up here last night and no water in the house. Dropped my girls off at the hill and am dealing with this. I would have loved to have pulled in to the lot at 730. My girl Cecily Tynan is in the house again today. Quote
AngryHugo Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 I don't shower much on the weekends!!!! The ladies always love a guy that smells like a petting zoo. 1 Quote
JFskiDan Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 Spied these extremists on my last liftride getting first tracks on gonzos base grind. How people think 3" of fresh puts everything into play is beyond me. 2 Quote
poconoceancity Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 You didn't snowboard cause the water wasn't working??? If my water wasn't working I would have brushed my teeth with Fiji water or a bottle of jack. I don't shower much on the weekends!!!! I had to get that taken care of today or we would have had to head home after skiing. The pump was replaced and all is good. I got out on the hill around 1, East Mountain was pretty empty, no lines. Thanks to JFSkiDan for offering to help me out. Very cool. Quote
C1erArt Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 Got a little too enthusiastic in Challenge glade today. Time for some ptexing. Quote
C1erArt Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 Boys and their toys, as my wife says. I have a set of Elan Apexs, 88mm 176 length. Got them used on eBay, so a little damage doesn't matter too much. Although the ptexing turned out real well. I have a tool that is a cross between a hot melt glue gun and a soldering iron. They hold a carve on the groomers a lot better than the PEs, but aren't real pretty in the baby bumps at Jack Frost, but that is probably me and not the skis. Family has about 9 sets of skis I maintain so as well as skiing during the day I get to putz around the workshop at night. Have a TV on the set of shelves, but (unlike some people) don't have a beer refrigerator down in the basement. Quote
oldtimeskier Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Looks good Art. Probably good therapy working on your skis in your basement. Save a couple of bucks also. I take my skis and my boys boards to buckman's once or twice a season....not cheap! Enjoy your reviews and pics. Quote
