Papasteeze Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 (edited) I know it all depends on what they are offering. I heard 1/2 hour early access. private parking area and private dining area, assume some other things. VOTE even if Camelback isn't your home mountain... Edited July 26, 2005 by Papasteeze Quote

pyro_boarder Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 With there prices so high already what they are offering is not worth the extra $100 to me, but I realy don't think I'm the kind of person there targeting with the primium passes anyway. Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 If it was at montage i would do it when i start driving. But not now and not at CB. Quote
skimom Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 It depends on the cost. Mostly, I'd pay for that half hour early on weekends. That would be worth $100. But, we ski all over the place, so it wouldn't be worth a ton of money. Quote

Glenn Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 13 days is too many to make a season pass pay. 29867[/snapback] ... are you kidding. For a local 13 days is nothing. You have a home in northridge right? You may almost have that covered by x-mas if you play your cards right... Quote
skierboi Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 (edited) i wouldnt b.c the race team already gets out there pretty early for training on rocket Edited July 29, 2005 by skierboi Quote
skigurl Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 yeah i'm desideding what i want to do for a pass this winter. Papasteeze don't you get 3 yrs of passes b.c you bought a house in Northridge? Quote

Or do you buy a season pass at more than one resort? (Siblet will need at least two next year and maybe three....aaaggghhh!) Quote
skimom Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Papa's place was bought from someone else, so he wouldn't get free passes. It looks like I skied 21 days at CB last year, so 13 would be cost effective. Maybe not for Iceman - I doubt he skied more than about 8 days. Papa, your kids will be there constantly - all thru Christmas week for practice to start. They will want to ski Friday nights. I'd think a family pass for you would be a nobrainer. Quote
Papasteeze Posted August 1, 2005 Author Report Posted August 1, 2005 9 days at CB last year - Ridge and Steven will be there far more than I will - I double checked and the Family pass looks to make the most sense for this upcoming season. Steven and I will probably be traveling alot to other mountains as we have in the past. We skied at 22 different places last season!! Quote
skifreak Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 ^^^Papa, I think I heard that Wisp down in MD near the PA border has a good terrain park, but I'm not certain. You may want to check it out sometime next season or so. Another good place is Snowshoe, WV, someone I know was there and they said its awesome. Quote
skimom Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 We bought the family pass last year, but Iceman almost never went. We may do better with a Camelcard for Iceman and passes for the 'dude and I. Even with races all over the Northeast, we still ski a lot at of days at CB. Quote

It is a 4 1/2 hour drive for us, so it would only be for 1 weekend if at all next season. Quote
sibhusky Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 So they're gonna take away the Glen Lodge, that wonderful oasis of peace, from all but those with bucks? That stinks. Camel Club Quote
Papasteeze Posted October 3, 2005 Author Report Posted October 3, 2005 I don't see the value in it. But I imagine there are plenty of people willing to shell out bucks to sit in a lodge and tell everyone at home they went skiing!! Quote
poconoceancity Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 The Glenn lodge is the best one...It's always empty. I wonder where the exclusive parking is going to be? Quote
LineSki Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I know that sucks, the exclusive parking will probably be in that parking lot by the glenn lodge/ bunny hill. But hopefully not enough people want to buy so it doesnt go through. Quote
skierboi Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 i dont like that parking lot b.c you have to take a lift and then basically like hike over to the main area. Quote
zaldon Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 no all you have to do is take the quad and ride to main area Quote
skierboi Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 some times if the snow is skicky you have to like hike through it like on home again Quote
skidude Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I never really liked the glen lodge... I was always a fan of the top section of cameltop. Ohh no, whats going to happen when the race team needs space for race registration...where are all the people going to park their cars now? Quote
