poconoceancity Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 It's not worth it. You can always come in the back way near the snow tubing and park at the top of the cliff that over looks the far quad. Although we always break in the Glenn lodge, most times we are with non-season pass holders so they would be segregated to another lodge. This would just complicate things and taken away from time on the mountain. Quote
skierboi Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 they will prob just do it in like the race room now,but im not sure that there is enough room for it Quote
skidude Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Being that whole lodge was pretty much filled on all the other race days, I don't think one room would be enough. And I know they wouldn't want to move it to there main lodge or anything....Ohh well hopefully the whole thing falls threw anyway. Quote
skierboi Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 it could maybe be done in the lodge on top of the mountain Quote
poconoceancity Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 I never really liked the glen lodge... I was always a fan of the top section of cameltop. Ohh no, whats going to happen when the race team needs space for race registration...where are all the people going to park their cars now? 34460 does cameltop get crowded? Quote
skierboi Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 not really , and they have that bottom "basement" floor, that has planty of room and no 1 is ever there Quote
skidude Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Cameltop can get busy....If you go to the top of it (there is a stairway to the right after you walk into the lodge part of it...go up there...Probably about 8 tables, and you can usually get one. Then as skierboi said, there is the basement too, which is usually pretty empty. Quote
skimom Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 I wonder which lift? I like the early ski hours at CB, and have to drive the 'dude down for 7:30 anyway. Quote
skidude Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 It is going to be (if it happens) the stevenson lift...and just get the 4 trails... Quote

skimom Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Drive? makes his lazy a$$ walk!!! or better yet, run!!! Run Forest Run!! 34471 The 'dude walked in the summer. It's icy in the winter. Plus, I want him to have lots of energy for his training. What's a 'mum for, if not to make life a little nicer? Quote
Papasteeze Posted October 4, 2005 Author Report Posted October 4, 2005 ahhhhh - not to razz ya too much but dads say WORK! Get warmed up! GO!! your gonna be late! What are you whining about? It's all down hill, now GO!! Quote
poconoceancity Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 papa, are you and the boys getting the premium pass? Quote
Papasteeze Posted October 4, 2005 Author Report Posted October 4, 2005 papa, are you and the boys getting the premium pass? 34486 No - I read the flyer this weekend. parking at the stevenson and private menu and eating area along with a slightly earlier lift were all that they were offering for $200 - The boys will both be out early with the CAT team. We don't care about private dining. And since we will be getting there early, parking is not an issue. The real turn-off was at the end of the flyer they said they had private lockers for another $150 which I wouldn't use because of needing to regularly wax. I personally don't see the value in it. I hate stopping during the day. I guess if I skied every single day or if I was retired, I might enjoy the little bit of convienence. Quote
sibhusky Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 I never really liked the glen lodge... I was always a fan of the top section of cameltop. Cameltop's burgers were always dried out. And they used to let people smoke in that "closed off" section. And lots of times it was cold. I don't know HOW you could have preferred Cameltop. Quote
skidude Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Now they don't let people smoke...The food is poor everywhere...I never thought it was very cold....And there were less people than the other places. Quote
pyro_boarder Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Cameltop is awesome, especially that loft section. I wouldn't know about the food because I don't eat there, but it's a great place to relax. I wish it was open more. Quote
