KCSKI Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Optimistic considering the weather conditions and the warm up early next week, but they have stated on their FB that the 18th they are going to open. If they pull it off! Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Very nice...only 26 days later than Blue!!!! Not much good snowmaking weather between now and then. Quote
KCSKI Posted December 9, 2014 Author Report Posted December 9, 2014 Very nice...only 26 days later than Blue!!!! Not much good snowmaking weather between now and then. Considering Montage with the exception of the '08/09 season always seems to open around the middle of December I see this as normal for them and nothing to be embarrassed over. Quote

Yeah but remember how cold this season started. They better pray for cold if they a be open over the holidays Edited December 9, 2014 by GrilledSteezeSandwich Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 But they have only been open, what, 10 days? Something like that. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 They probably could have operated 7 days a week if they wanted... Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 They probably could have operated 7 days a week if they wanted... Of course and 24 hours a day as well. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 According to their website opening is still tomorrow and lift tickets are only $19.84 Quote
moe ghoul Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 Is that how much they were in 1984? Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 Is that how much they were in 1984? No it's to celebrate their 30th anniversary Quote
toast21602 Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 how the hell are they going to open? Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted December 17, 2014 Report Posted December 17, 2014 From the road, it looks like Whistler and Cannonball have enough snow. I'd assume Boomer does as well... I get out of work on Friday at 12 and am thinking about spending the afternoon up there. I want to go up in the morning tomorrow, but have a huge project at work that needs to get done by Friday. Maybe I'll get in a run or two and then go to work. If only there was natural on the ground, I'd be able to ski to work. Quote
KCSKI Posted December 18, 2014 Author Report Posted December 18, 2014 They pulled it off...3 lifts and 7 trails running...snowmaking I would assume can happen tonight. 1 Quote
Schif Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Website says they opened with Whistler, Boomer, and the bunny slope Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 They pulled it off...3 lifts and 7 trails running...snowmaking I would assume can happen tonight. That isn't 7 trails. More like 3 and 1/2 if you count the bunny slope. Quote
KCSKI Posted December 18, 2014 Author Report Posted December 18, 2014 Just going by what the web site said....don't shoot the messenger. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Very cool for Sno-tage to get open so early. Quote
Rex Goliath Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 if you say it fast:That's NO Mountain Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 My recommendation is not to go up unless you have a pass. I wouldn't pay for the current conditions. Mainline has the best snow, but the lift isn't open. Boomer is all death cookies on the headwall. Whistler had decent snow, but that park looks like it is from the 90's. Took 3 runs and was gone. 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 Did you hike for mainline? A shame Boomer is death cookies that's a nice run. Anyway thanks for posting a report. Haven't seen one from you in years!! Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted December 19, 2014 Report Posted December 19, 2014 For mainline you have to take the lift in the center of the mountain and then skate over. Mainline then turns at the bunny hill and you make your way back to the lift. If the mainline lift was open, I probably would have stayed longer. Quote
poconoceancity Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 Is the long haul running? Quote
pcklein31 Posted December 20, 2014 Report Posted December 20, 2014 I was up around 1pm to get my picture for my pass, they were still blowing on a couple trails. Their facebook page said Cannonball was close to opening, I am hopeful for tomorrow. As a boarder I avoided today because I would need to hike/skate everywhere. Quote
