pcklein31 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 You have to hand it to them, it appears that they've had guns running non-stop since Friday. It did not seem like a high quality "snow" on Saturday, but hey it is a base which they sorely need. Just need to make it though this week's temps. Cannonball was opened yesterday, grooming was a little suspect(hard to blame) with a lot of whoop-di-doos, which were a lot of "fun" in the poor visibility. Looks like WL is close, and they've been hitting Smoke, Switch and Highball hard. Quote
toast21602 Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 (edited) good to hear. hope they can survive the week... Edited December 21, 2014 by toast21602 Quote

phillycore Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 Hopefully it's enough snow to shut Sara the fuck up. Quote

JFskiDan Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 Waiting for a TR from Sarah. They should be just as good as her rants about snowmaking. 3 Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) Thinking about doing am there tmrw. $15 tkt if I use psaa coupon. Are Boomer and Cannonball groomed? Edited December 22, 2014 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote
pcklein31 Posted December 22, 2014 Report Posted December 22, 2014 I was not up on Sunday, I don't know if they groomed things out or not. From past history i would expect that at least half of Boomer is still bumped up and they usually always groom out Cannonball. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 Real nice time skiing Cannonball and Boomer today, though it was disappointing in light of the soft bumps on Boomer touted by their website, that they felt the need to close Boomer early this AM to groom it flat. Having the choice between a bump run or groomed run, or even leaving Boomer half bummed ala Barneys would have made for a much more varied experience. Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Boomer was great today for the first 3/4's of it. Bottom flat half was chunky and felt like rythmns... Cannonball was groomed well except the second headwall.... Park looks just as bad as it did te first day. Only one rail has an actual lip to get on it. Too old to hit anything, but even if I was young, I probably wouldn't hit anything.... Overall, a nice two hours in the morning. Only saw the Lottie between 8:30-10:30, literally didn't see one other person on either a trail or lift while I was there. Liftie somehow changed to Lottie. Quote
Skiier14 Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Are they close to opening Smoke or Lightning? Quote
Sno Mountain Skier Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Both still need a lot of work. If they don't lose too much before the next cold spell, I could see them both open after 3-4 days of blowing. Quote
Skiier14 Posted December 31, 2014 Report Posted December 31, 2014 Anyone been up there? Close to opening new trails? Quote
