GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 Buy them! Don't be scared to commit. That's alot of money to spend for a new skier. Seasonal rentals seem like a good plan. 2 Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 10, 2014 Report Posted December 10, 2014 SkiBarn has a nice $109 seasonal rental deal that includes a book of coupons that get you free youth lift tix at many resorts. I used the one in Lawrenceville. And if you role over your deposit to the next year it gets you a 20% reduction in price that year. 1 Quote
Romeo Posted December 10, 2014 Author Report Posted December 10, 2014 Buy them! Don't be scared to commit. Thank you. I will surely buy them but not till the time I get some grip over it. For the time being, I am happy with the rentals. May I ask you what difference it makes if I buy them? I may reconsider my decision if you could help me with good reason to go for buying. Quote

My suggestion would be to look for a beginner package at one of the ski resorts which will include your equipment rental for the day as well as a lesson to get you started. I know that if you went to Jfbb you'd be looking for the discovery package, I'm not sure what it's called at the other areas offhand. Most of all dress for the weather and have fun. 1 Quote
