GrilledSteezeSandwich
Hey all, After four fall weeks of skiing its finally winter on Sunday. I plan to end fall and begin winter skiing the best mountain within 15 minutes of Sheetz. Anybody else gonna be at Blue mountain the true mountain? Will likely be fairly light crowds as alot of people are in holiday mode. The temperature will drop nicely by Saturday morning and I'm expecting a full on assault from the snowmaking cannons. Low 20s Saturday morning has me SMHerman!! Partly sunny sky's both Saturday and sunday with calm winds is nice!!! Ski u later!!!!

GrilledSteezeSandwich
Looks like they'll be able to blow tonight and tomorrow night!!!! The snow could be silky!!!
tnt
Next week looks just plain horrible. It's a little bit of a replay at last year. We went to Stratton right after X-mas. Rained for a few days before and just wrecked what had been some nice snow. Lucked out and got about 9-12" on second to last afternoon, and overnight, so we had a killer powder day to end the trip, but conditions were pretty icy till that point. GrilledSteezeSandwich
TNT not that horrible...50 and rain for the Lehigh valley on XMAS eve but blue is always closed on XMAS anyway...I think they'll survive with the current terrain open if they can blow several hours the next two nights. If you think back to two years ago they were only open one weekend on vista chair only and didnt reopen till after XMAS again vista chair only. If it was in the 60s with rain for multiple days it would be the true death blow...finish him...that I was talking about yesterday. Wow just wow and last weekend with the snowmaking cannons blasting on razors we were talking about the possibility of it opening for this weekend. Forecasts change!!!! Last year I recall Blue being near 100% open at XMAS. They blew so much the first half of December that any rain and warmth hardly put a dent in the base. I've skied icy conditions in Vermont way more than in PA...Vermont is notorious for rain storms followed by flash freezes. When we get rain it's usually still above freezing for awhile after. tnt
Yeah, I've got a pic from two seasons ago of my kids on a chairlift at C-back. Not a single speck of snow in the picture. I think that might have been January even. I forget. Wow - Razors would be huge for this weekend.

Yeah I think we were a little optimistic as the forecast a week ago showed alot of snowmaking chances. I doubt razors will be open until early to mid January. Hopefully they can get razors open in time for all the junior and collegiate races. I don't know if you know but Razors is the premier racing run in the mid Atlantic. C1erArt
I used Ski Tracks all last year, and the results were pretty consistent and believable, despite the shortness of the runs at Frost (probably only at max speed for less than 30 seconds on a run)
GrilledSteezeSandwich
The snowmaking cannons are blasting snow...looks like they may be able to continue straight through until late morning Sunday!!!

Also, you're welcome to give the on3p's a shot tomorrow if you want, I vaguely remember you wanting to try them? I've been using snocru the past few times out.
