Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 What do you think the lines will be like at Blue, Camelback and JFrost? And will Sat or Sun crowds be worse? Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Crowded everywhere its a holiday weekend and the weather looks fantastic and many goobers are just getting out for the first time now that almost 100% of the terrain is open. I'd think a lesser known place like Montage would be your best bet for avoiding liftlines. I don't think Saturday or Sunday will make much of a difference. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted January 14, 2015 Author Report Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) Yeah, Montage is where I generally go to avoid holiday weekend crowds. But I've got these PA Ski and Ride cards I've paid for that get me in to those three places at no cost, so I'm gonna ski them til I have used my free tix up. Also have a prepaid ticket to Hunter, but I can't see that being any better. My hunch is that JFrost might be the best if I stick to the East Mountain lifts which only service the "expert" terrain Edited January 14, 2015 by Ski2Live Live2Ski 1 Quote

All the places you listed are gonna be crowded..you might wanna save the PASkiandRide cards for either weekdays or less crowded weekends with bad weather and visit a less known place. Quote
burton71 Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Blue and Camelback will be a shit show. JF will be a slightly less shitty show. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Jack Frost isn't as good skiing though. All of th options stink unless you can be at blue or cameltoe for first chair. VIP line at blue is gonna be good if they get the scanners fixed. Quote
poconoceancity Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 From my past experience Jf will be great from 8-10 on Saturday, 8-11 on Sunday as most of the crowds will get a later start and Monday should be fine as most people won't ski 3 days in a row. Blue and CB not worth it unless u have a season pass in my opinion. Quote

trackbiker Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 If you want to use the card, JF would be the best bet. Get there for opening and stay on the expert trails. Montage will likely be the least crowded. The $29.00 morning ticket is a good deal from 8:30 to 1:00 Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted January 14, 2015 Author Report Posted January 14, 2015 Thanks. I will either do Frost or Hunter (where West side rarely has crowds). Got enough prepaid tix between the various things I have bought that I risk leaving some unused if I don't start using them. Quote
Skio25 Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 The rain was the best thing to happen on a holiday weekend. Fairly dead at CBK sunday, great snow. Slush is always superior to ice. Quote
