poconoceancity Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 It was worth it. Drive over was brutal, lots of mini vans stuck trying to make it up the hills in Lake Harmony and Split Rock. I started on the west side and made my way east. Great snow as there was nobody out and the wind was blowing hard up hill. After I made it to the east mountain I did 2 runs on lightning, no Floyd's as I would get stuck at the bottom. I was getting cold and made my way back to the west side and left. Got home and my 7 year old wanted to go out so we jumped back in the car and hit Boulder for about an hour. She couldn't handle the cold and after 4 runs we were back in the car heading home. Now I'm resting up for a $50 steak at Louie's Prime. Tomorrow I'm planning on hitting BB in the AM for a couple turns and hit day 40. That will be my last day at JFBB for the season. It looks like snow and no school on Tuesday in OC, but our rental is up tomorrow. That figures. For the rest of the season I would like to do 2 day trips to CB and 2 day trips to Blue. Also a guys trip to VT would be nice. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted February 15, 2015 Author Report Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) Nice report poconos...although this is in the blue forum. $50 for a steak that's outrageous just kidding lol. Â Is the elevator skiable?? Edited February 15, 2015 by GrilledSteezeSandwich Quote
poconoceancity Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Elevator looked crusty and then I would have got stuck at the bottom. Quote

poconoceancity Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Probably not. It was blowing hard. At least 4. Deep enough that the guy who plows our driveway determined it needed plowed. Quote

Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 You didn't go between 11/30 and 12/13 and you need to update your stats. You do have a good amount of days in for not having a season pass I do need to update stats. There have been other things that kept me off the slopes some weekends this season, but this is the first time this season I had a day free and planned to ski and was just not going out cause it was too frigging cold. toast21602 Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Good deal. Real mountain. Real people. Better parking lot beer. Do it. 1 Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted February 17, 2015 Author Report Posted February 17, 2015 ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424127619.176475.jpg Hmmmmm...... Take the skills you learned as an instructor at JF and you'll prob be the best skier on the mountain at Blue. Quote
phillycore Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 Wouldn't work out for my situation......I can only ski weekends and blue is hella busy after 10am so I'd just want to leave. I also have my kids every other weekend, so I couldn't ski those weekends bc daily passes for them would get really $$$ as would 2 more season passes. That's not fair to the kids or myself. Â I do miss skiing with you guys though. 1 Quote

phillycore Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 I don't get those buddy passes on my pass. I do get discounted buddy passes though. Quote
poconoceancity Posted February 18, 2015 Report Posted February 18, 2015 That's what mine are. $25 for a pass. Quote
