GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Looks like a nice weekend on tap...who's gonna be at Blue this weekend. I'll be up Saturday and Sunday mornings...I'm thinking Sunday could get pretty rowdy in the lot with Matt Edge and VTMark and TP4. Tomorrow gotta leave by about noon cause I have a 1:15pm appointment. Ski you later!!! Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 6, 2015 Author Report Posted March 6, 2015 Oh Lordy Toast always with the first reply. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 6, 2015 Author Report Posted March 6, 2015 You'll be sorry! Gonna be packed powder tomorrow woo...and no rope across the marquee route. There is a rope blocking the entrance to the quad liftline now from Dreamweaver. Quote

Hopefully the temps will soften that up... Another thing that may bring out more on Sunday is Daylight Savings Time Begins... Quote

Not gonna be warm enough tomorrow for softening will be nice groomed firm to start and then the frozen granular. Sunday might be just barely warm enough in the afternoon for softening. I don't mind slick icy snow..it's the deep sugar that sucks. I think I actually still have edges left from when atomic Jeff did mine before Jackson hole since I haven't had to use then much since then. Especially on my shiros which have only been out 4-5 days since then. Actually daylight savings time Sunday is a good thing as many will arrive later remember spring forward so at 7am it will be dark as fuck. Quote
VTmark Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 I think I'll be able to make it both days this weekend. Quote
indiggio Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Actually daylight savings time Sunday is a good thing as many will arrive later remember spring forward so at 7am it will be dark as fuck. Sure about that? Sunrise lately has been around 6:30am. Sunday that will be 7:30am... Quote
AtomicSkier Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Sure about that? Sunrise lately has been around 6:30am. Sunday that will be 7:30am... yes, but it'll make 6:30am feel 5:30am. Quote
indiggio Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Doesn't bother me, I set the clocks ahead before I go to sleep... Quote
indiggio Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 I too like driving to the mountain when it's dark. However, I don't particularly like the flat light in the early afternoon that early winter brings. Prefer the runs to be brightly lit with nice, high sunlight. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 In. Hoping I can make first chair for the second week in a row. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 I'll miss the early sun while skiing, but I do like the 4pm after work ski sessions in complete sunlight. I'll be there tomorrow and Sunday. Quote
