Yeah total microclimate between Main Street and vista...the NOAA used to have a weather station there but it was usually buried in pow pow....the cornice on the back side of the ski patrol shack exceeds 20 feet in La Niña years...put that in your half pipe and smoke it cha cha cha. tnt Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 How long does it take for them to get Main Street open? I think I asked this last year... Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 How long does it take for them to get Main Street open? I think I asked this last year... About 36-48 hours of solid snowmaking. Not gonna happen this week probably not next. 1 Quote
RidgeRacer Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Guns were not on at 7:30 this morning when I drove past. Weren't on at 6pm tonight either. Things seem to be faring better in the higher elevations with this cold snap. And that my friends is your daily RidgeRacer commute to work snowmaking report for the evening. 7 Quote
enjoralas Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Why can't all the hills just be straight with the patrons like Blue (usually) is? Quote
Shadows Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Because theyre real people. No need to exagerate 4 inches over night for a foot to get people to ski places like breck Quote
moe ghoul Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 This isn't 2015, good to see the Pokes blowing snow. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Blue is blowing. Should be some really good production tonight which should give them a head start when snowmaking temperatures return in December Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 22, 2016 Report Posted November 22, 2016 Major snowmaking assault on blue mountain tonight...and still some mini whales leftover from the blowing two nights ago. This season is gonna be awesome!!! 2 Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 23, 2016 Report Posted November 23, 2016 Operation blizzard is in full affect and I'm feeling farty Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 Possible snowmaking Sunday night gotta hope for clear sky's all this cloud cover the temperature doesn't drop as much at night. If it's 50 and very clear sky's this time of year the temperature can dip well into the 20s under clear sky's and light winds. If the air is heavy and moist with cloud cover overnight the temperature barely goes down into the 30s. Only the highest pocono peaks could see some snow showers this weekend. Long range has lows in the teens the following week. Quote
tnt Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Forecast is grim for next weekend. Quote

I'm shooting to be sponsored by Jackson hole this season. 2 Quote
