indiggio Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Report Posted Friday at 07:16 PM Rumor has it someone fell off into the OG6 pond the other day and lifties had to wade in to fish them out. Guess that's why they're pumping out the pond... 2 Quote

If we had the climate for it, would be badass if Blue could import some tropical sea creatures for the pond. @saltyant or @SallyCat might have ideas. I’m thinking maybe eel and puffer fish to start a couple weeks later there will be eel tacos at slopeside grill 2 Quote

Eventually around 1215 it really shit the bed and I couldn't stomach anymore and peaced out. Snow they can't do much about but the lifts are directly within their control and it doesn't take a scientist to figure out when they blow into the lift mechanicals they don't work very well. Let's just say they are legitimately the only hill that can't sort this out then at least have the lifty in the box know the override sequence so we don't always have to wait 20mins for the supervisor to press 4 buttons. Nearly 50 years in business. You'd think they know not to blow snow onto the sensors by now 1 2 Quote

How many beer cans did the lifties have to push aside to actually get to the person. 4 Quote

But clearly not as I was there. I think normally I'm pretty gracious in my opinions on conditions but even with all of that and taking the blue factor into account I still think they need to do a better job on lifts. It's always the same issues time and time again, like the quad tires that one year. A true og fills them with nitrogen because then it will only loose air from the shitty tires and even half ass is to come out 15mins early and inflate the tires if it's cold but it took them like seasons to figure that out. For you to go mildly Salty, it had to be pretty fucked up. Im telling you, the lift issues are because they are built on an indian burial ground. They can put in a new lift that runs just as bad as the old ones. they struggle in the lift department for sure. But they have someone out every morning organizing the snow fencing for the lifts. Thats how like the bizzaro world of blue works. Make sure the lines have organization, so people are organized when the lines start backing up because the lifts stop cooperating. 3 hours ago, RidgeRacer said: It took someone falling into the pond to actually get them to pump out that eye sore? You know the snowfence they put up to keep people from getting on the snow to the lifts except where they put the mats? My guess is someone at shit, either getting on or off, or someone just skied right off and took a ride in the ambulance. Its unlikely the fence is a preventative measure. Thats unlike blue. 2 1 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted Saturday at 11:15 AM Report Posted Saturday at 11:15 AM That fence is a big PIA when it’s busy. There is a big drop off there, so I’m sure people will get hurt if they remove it. Quote
