I think he may have thought that first cliff landing was a bit softer and not as flat.  Looks like it would have hurt.  Then run into a marker pole to boot.

Guess it couldn't have been too bad, as he went back for seconds.

Jackson hole is starting to open up new terrain after about 30" of new snow this week. 6 new runs opened this morning bringing the total to 69 of 131...more new terrain will open in the coming days and I predict near 100% by January 5th

Cool video.  The one shot of the winch cat on the steep trail at night is Laramie Bowl.  Definitely an 80mph groomer.

I doubt they make much. Maybe $20 an hour and it's only four months a year.  I imagine some of the groomers are construction workers who are laid off during the winter.

This is always a good one.  Sublette is generally the windiest chair on the hill, especially when you see the "no singles" sign up.  This is next level.

Only 3 weeks until Jackson hole.  As we get closer I'll have to post stoke more frequently.  Here's a cool video from a few years ago.  It's pretty unique. 

 

Snow in the forecast Saturday and around Wednesday next week..they need another solid storm or two to open the Hobacks and other lower faces.

That video is neat, someone should make a similar video for Blue.

If I ever get to Jackson Hole, I'm not jumping off any cliffs like that. Nope.

99.9% of the tourists to JH don't..That video was from the backcountry except the beginning and end.

I think I start to understand why GSS likes Jackson Hole so much. The videos are so insane, each of those guys is a potential client of his.
