Our best shot for deeper accumulations over the next week will then arrive during the second half of next Wednesday and into Thursday. Keep your schedules open for Thursday if you're searching for fresh turns.

Looking further ahead, we'll likely catch another break over the weekend of January 27th and 28th before all longer-range models introduce another trough (area of storminess) during the final days of January and into early February.

Our next round of snow will now make its presence felt on Monday as a quick-moving system slides across the northern Rockies. We'll be looking at off-and-on periods of light to moderate snow, with total accumulations of 1-4 inches through Monday night.

Warmer temperatures will push into the region on Tuesday and into Wednesday under partly to mostly cloudy skies. This break will then be short-lived as another system slides through the Intermountain West. This storm doesn't look overly strong but it will bring another round of light to moderate snow and soft turns for Thursday and Friday. We'll go with an initial forecast of 2-6 inches.

Another period of dry but cool conditions will settle back in from the 27th through the 29th. This will then be followed by another storm around January 30th and 31st. Keep an eye on this system for deeper accumulations.
