Mess Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I just saw a Blue lift ticket is $80. I have had a good time when I have been at Blue however I can not see myself paying that much especially when lines are long. Is there anyway to get weekend discount tickets. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 $80 is insanity. keep an eye out for the $30 cbs local deals. 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I think the $80 includes a $15 food voucher. Quote
Mess Posted December 3, 2015 Author Report Posted December 3, 2015 $80 is insanity. keep an eye out for the $30 cbs local deals. That is what I was thinking. Even with a food voucher it is out of my price range for the poconos. I think that I have gotten discount tickets from Middletown Township recreation department. So I will check that out. I also think that I have gone late season when they had a deal for half off if you showed them another lift ticket from a PA mountain. Didn't blue used to have a morning ticket? Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Join a ski club and get a PASR card for $57 good for a day at each of 6 mountains including Blue (and so JFBB CB Shawnee and 2 lesser places). Use any day after Jan 3. Even if you only ski three of them it brings your price down to 19 per day. Best deal in PA skiing if you don't ski enough for a pass to pay. GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I think blue changes their morning ticket to a six hour ticket. Morning ticket was never a substantial savings. I remember it being like $53 on weekends. It was half that when I was a kid back before all the robots and drones and shit. Back when Billy Joel had to be a Big Shot. Quote
rgrwilco Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 wow really? guess blue just priced me out. hopefully some liftopia deals. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Checking Blues site a 6 hour ticket reload (that is plenty of time for me) is 30 to 40 nights, 50 weekdays, 65 weekends. Sunday night remains the best deal at 30 Quote

Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Did I mention the PASR card? Full price is for suckers. Quote
Kyle Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 Even though I wanna get back to bear for old times sake, this is the reason I do not (same with camelback) If you have a college I'd Monday night is college night. They don't check if you're still in college or not Quote
Mess Posted December 4, 2015 Author Report Posted December 4, 2015 Did I mention the PASR card? Full price is for suckers. Which Ski club offers this and how much does it cost to be a member? Thanks Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 Princeton Ski Club is one of my that offers it. I believe membership is 30 and you can buy these cards for 57 each. I am getting 2 of them. I will net 8 days of PA skiing for 144. 2 days each at blue, jf, CB and Shawnee Quote
larrytbull Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 i'll attest to that card, best deal out therre i do same thing 2-3 cards covers me for the year, just note cards usually are after xmas but this year that wont be an issue as snow is not going to be here till then anyway Quote
poconoceancity Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 If and when they open I bet they will have discounted rates. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) Doubt it poconoOceanCity will prob be holiday pricing. Once they have lazy mile open its full price. They usually charge about $40 when it's just Main Street. Edited December 5, 2015 by GrilledSteezeSandwich Quote
poconoceancity Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 I don't see lazy open in December. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 They should charge full price from the start to keep crowds down. Quote
poconoceancity Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 I wonder what the breaking point is where they would lose visits? Still packing them in at $80. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 Their location within an hour and a half of the wealthiest people in the country means their pricing is not an issue. Quote
Justo8484 Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 Their location within an hour and a half of the wealthiest people in the country means their pricing is not an issue.except the wealthiest people in the country don't go to blue. They fly west and go to beaver creek, aspen, deer valley, etc. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 Look at all the cars in the lot..lots of $40k and $50k cars and above. I'm guessing average family income of average goobers at Blue has to be into the 6 figures. Quote
