Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) 8 trails and 5 lifts with $30 tix. First real skiing in PA unless Blue pulls a monkey out of their ass this weekend. I'm dreaming of a white Xmas in pa Edited December 18, 2015 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote
Kyle Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 I thought this was a joke at first Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 18, 2015 Author Report Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) Got an email from CB today. As official as it gets until the lifts actually start spinning. Edited December 18, 2015 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote
poconoceancity Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 I'm assuming most places moved anything that will blow snow on to the few trails they can cover the fastest for an all out assault starting the second conditions permit. Quote
toast21602 Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 Hoping Blue does the same [emoji17] Quote
JFskiDan Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 8 trails and 5 lifts? i really want to see them pull this off. Or is it like upper pocono raceway, midway pocono raceway, lower pocono raceway, pocono raceway runout, liftline, etc..... 2 Quote
poconoceancity Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 BB just posted they will start tonight and go straight through till Sunday. There's hope! I'm sure Blue has plan. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 18, 2015 Author Report Posted December 18, 2015 Blue may have more of a challenge being further south, and may have less motivation with their no Xmas policy. Quote
weedreimer Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 This will be an impressive feat to pull off. Risky but impressive the way the weather has been but more power to them. Curious to the see the outcome come Sunday into Monday. Good day to watch social media. Quote

weedreimer Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 Curious how this will happen as well. It'll come down to weather and elevation in the long run, plus the forecast next week looks like I'll be building an ark sooner than later. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 I find this hard to believe.... Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 18, 2015 Author Report Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) CB also has more motivation to get open before holidays as they are trying to rent hotel rooms for holiday week. What CB plans to open amounts to 1.5 green runs from top of Sullivan Quad (2 runs up top funneling into 1 at bottom) 2 runs (one blue ski run, one park run) from the Glen lift that goes about 2/3 of the way up. 1 learning slope Edited December 18, 2015 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote
toast21602 Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 I think everyone is motivated to open. But it comes down to reality and the likelihood is slim. But good on them for giving it a shot. If they fail, I'll hate them even more and TP4 will be mandated to change his #2 ranking of them. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 Wow just wow hopefully they are still open on the 26th maybe we can do a PASR day...ill be at work Monday and Tuesday and in Virginia Wednesday to Friday. Very optimistic of camelback. I know poconoOceanCity believes the hype. No Marjies delight that usually is what they open with. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 18, 2015 Author Report Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) If they succeed while Blue putters around another month they could grab firm hold of #1. Looking at CB mountain cams reveals they are counting some unhatched chickens though Edited December 18, 2015 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 The blue run from the glen lift might be worth going up for. The greens nope...I want some fall line skiing. I remember the good old days when ski resorts opened with advanced terrain only. I guess it takes less snow to open up Herb routes. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 If they succeed while Blue putters around another month they could grab firm hold of #1. Looking at CB mountain cams reveals they are counting some unhatched chickens though Putters around may be a bit harsh. Blue has been trying with every chance they could and spent a shit ton of cash trying to do so in the process only to see it melt away. Not much else they could've done unless they focused on one trail only instead of trying to spread it around (ie. tubing) Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 Hoping Blue does the same [emoji17] Times two I remember the good old days when blue would open earlier than camelback and stay open later. They can go all out but it's not gonna last the xmas warmup and monsoon. Quote
