Popular Post GSSucks Posted December 25, 2015 Popular Post Report Posted December 25, 2015 Day 1: Alta Good first day, one scorpion and a few face shots. Jumped of some things, fell a few times. Day 2: Jackson Hole 8-10" over night, blue bird in the morning. Storm rolled in late afternoon. Lots of Sublettes laps in Bernies bowl. Hit the Teton Quad once on its opening day. Day 3: Jackson Hole 6-8" over night, found lots of good turns off of Apres Vous, hit it way too many times till it was skied out. Day 4: Grand Targhee 12" over night, 6-8" during the day. Super deep blower pow, was hard to take a turn without a face shot. Jake showed us the goods. Amazing fun little mountain. Day 5: Grand Targhee 8-10" over night, 3-6" during the day. Over all a good day, Lots of wind overnight really changed the place. Found some fun deep turns while meadow skipping. Day 6: Alta ~40" in the proceeding 2 days and 19" over night. Not much opened due to avalanche danger going through the roof. Did a bunch of wildcat and Collins laps. Ended the day at Gold miners Daughter. Day 7: Alta Things started to open up, High T opened and we did a bunch of High Rustler and her back side laps. Ended the day at Gold miners Daughter. More to follow, not many pictures have been taken, its been too good. 10 Quote

GSSucks Posted December 26, 2015 Author Report Posted December 26, 2015 Day 8: Deer Valley Got a hook up on lift tickets, I will always ski DV for $Free.99. Another 6" over night softened up the turns all day, it also helps that no one skis off trail at DV so we had knee to waste deep turns from the last few storms most of the day in the trees. Had some awesome turns in the Daly Chutes, and a few untracked runs in Lady Morgan Bowl. A damn fine christmas if I do say so myself. 5 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 26, 2015 Report Posted December 26, 2015 Thanks GSSucks for taking the time to post a report and pictures. Grand targhee was going off this last week. I believe they recorded 22" in a 24 hour period. I have 5 total days at targhee between 2005-2009. It's a cool mountain and when it's not socked in there are cool views of the grand Tetons. Apres vous at JH is a good place to stay away from the crowds on a pow day. The hardcores ignore it and the goobs stay in the middle of the groomed pistes. Right under the lift is a decent face to Hollywood for the riders above. Sure rendezvous bowl will be deeper but less frantic and faster access. 1 Quote
GSSucks Posted December 26, 2015 Author Report Posted December 26, 2015 Day 9: Alta First night of the trip that we did not have any snow overnight, but ropes dropped all day long. Still had plenty of deep turns and some fun things to jump off of, Ill post some pictures later. It was cold as balls. Guess thats the end, see you boys at blue. 3 Quote
