GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Yep, I did hit a big ice chunk under some pow on the right side of switchback... Luckily only with one ski so I held on to it. Sorry to hear about the injury. My car at the end of the day: Wow at least you didn't get plowed in. Quote
mbike-ski Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Damn Dom sorry to hear that, heal up bud. Nice to know someone's got your back, cheers to Dan. The only "off" trail was the Main Street moan spine, so effin fun and nipple deep in spots! 2 Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Heading up to Blue tomorrow AM arriving around 10. I'll be most recognizable by a tan helmet and white poles and skiing with 2 little girls with a purple helmet and a bright green one. Probably mostly skiing greens and blues with them. Say hi if you see me. Quote

Looks like an amazing weekend and makes up for the shitty start this season.True. If there is any silver lining its if the injury did knock me out for the season at least I got to ski that. Now that the morphine and pain meds have worn off the good news is that I'm in far less pain then I was yesterday. Positive sign I guess. I'm going to do everything I can to get back out there. Quote
Rex Goliath Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 That's shitty sorry to hear it! You were on a trail and hit a submerged ice Boulder? WTF? Damn sorry! 1 Quote

FINCOR44 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 the Quad got going....supposedly the wind overnight blew the chairs out of alignment and it basically needed to run a little to "fix" itself. Later on in the day, the 6 got going, loaded a few chairs, then they started turning people away. ran all day with no one on it. All the snow drifting, wound up freezing the chairs in the rails, so it took a while a to get them moving and keep moving without triggering any faults. As for Challenge, same thing, and it was kept running all day due to it snowing most the day and if it were to be stopped the chairs might not want to cooperate and move when turned back on again, hence why it ran all day and loaded no one. So neither lift had any actual problems thankfully 2 Quote
