Do we have a buddy pass this year?

Yes but it's not advertised at all. I wish they just gave a voucher. Anyway you go to the ticket office with season pass and they'll give you a day ticket for a friend.

Really not that bad

The cost of season passes at blue have barely gone up over the years. Shit 20 years ago when I was in high school it was like $350.

They've been open for like 5-6 fucking weeks this season through mid February and they are trying to sell season passes for next year. Unfucking believable

They need the money and they always start selling early bird passes the second half of February. Nothing new. It's not blues fault the weather was bad early season. Behave yourself TP4 or I'm gonna give you a demerit.

Can buddy pass be used weekends?

No idea call blue. I think blue was super vague about buddy passes so people wouldn't use them.

Your right about the weather which is exactly why blue shouldn't have pulled this shit. They should be worried about compensating their loyal pass holders for the bullshit we've put up with this season, not fucking promotions for something that can't be used for almost a year

Your season pass gets you invited to exclusive season pass holders parties woo hoo. Have there been any this season so far.

I prefer just buying my pass in November for more money. I still have a ski trip in Colorado to pay for and am gonna need lots of new gear. After ten years I'm finally gonna need w new helmet as well and after 8 years new ski pants.

You lasted 8 years in ski pants? Did you buy the waist 10 sizes too big 8 years ago?

I'm really surprised they did it this early. I thought it would probably be mid-March based on the short season. I thought they wouldn't want to give the rest of the season away to folks like me after only so many opportunities to get cash out of 'em.

I wonder if they had this date picked all along, or if Camel forced their hand by offering their pass starting Monday? Maybe they thought they might lose out on visits to skiers who jumped on the Camel pass and then just went there for the rest of this season since it was already paid for. Came in $80 less than them, too.

I recall it only being advertised on the pre-season purchase blurb.

As GSS said, I believe they've been putting it out the same time every year.

It used to be with Ray, he would wait until all the mountains in the area announced their prices and he'd set the price a dollar or so beneath theirs.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least that if Camelback announced theirs, Blue just followed suit so as to not lose those thinking about switching.

I've gained like 15 pounds in the last 8 years darsh and I still need a belt with them. I've actually had two pairs of ski pants in the last ten years both the same pants..Ride snowboard pants the first pair was like $100 and second pair like $70.

You have until March 31 for the early bird just like normal seasons. Their late start meant a major loss in cash flow and they need to start selling next years season passes. Enjoralas this deal might be a good opportunity for you to become a season pass holder since you can ski for the rest of this season as well.

I don't think blue is worried about losing pass holders to camelback cause they know they are number 1

In the Ray Tuthill days season pass prices weren't announced until early fall.

they throw these out right after Pres weekend.  wouldnt be suprised if JFBB has put theirs up as well.

This is a great deal for someone who doesnt currently have a pass, so i dont see how this can be taken as a kick in the pants to current passholders.

This is the season that just barely materialized on the east coast.  It is what it is.  if you looking for something with a guarantee, there is always Elk.

Yeah, they didn't do the pre-season passes back then.

Geez, I think I paid $250 for my first season pass.

I was referring to general ticket prices.

Yeah, that has been my plan all along, ski on the cheapest deals I could find until Blue announced this deal, then ski on that for the rest of the season. Just didn't expect it so soon from a purely economic standpoint. My main Spring-Fall hobby is roller coasters and theme parks, and they aren't as predictable with when next year's passes go on sale.

If I follow though with that plan I'm still holding a couple days on a triple ticket and one of those M-F 2 ticket deals, lol

When was that??? The 80s?? I remember paying about $360 for the 1995-96 season when I was in 11th grade. Funny thing was that my skis back then cost just as much as skis today..like 3-400 dollars since I had to get them from Nestor's vs online. That's back when the major resorts were cracking the $50 lift ticket barrier. Now a few dozen areas at over $100

Not kidding at all. Member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts and usually make a dozen or so park visits a year. Mostly centered around special events when we get to see friends from all over and get exclusive ride time and stuff. Dippin' Dots be alright–my wife loves them. I'd rather have a good homemade hard ice cream

Ok cool there was w previous poster who was a big roller coaster enthusiast. I used to get a season pass at dorney park when I was a kid and live two miles from there. Been to Six Flags Great Adventure, The Great Escape, Le Ronde, Hershey Park, Six Flags Over Georgia, Kennywood, Busch Gardens Williamsburg and many other theme parks but the last roller coaster I was on was at NYNY casino in Vegas in 2010. I prefer hard ice cream to dippin dots as well!!!!! Anyway I'm sure I'll meet you at blue one of these days.

If chairlift rides are sales meetings, can i write skiing off?

Best bet is 50% meals & entertainment deduction, same as golfing with clients.
