adrian
When Waxing my snowboard I've notced that my bindings act as a heat sink and do not allow the wax to melt into the base underneith them. Dose anyone know any soloutions to this problem, other than removing the bindings? Thanks. is the wax just pooling in the slight depression by the inserts? thats what id imagine, but could you elaborate?

No, it's not pooling. The wax just never melts right. I have metal bindings/baseplate so I think that the bindings are absorbing the heat from the iron so the board never gets hot enough to melt the wax. The only solution I can think of is to take the bindings of when waxing, but I want to avoid that. I also want to try corking it in over the bindings, but that wouldn't have the same effect. pyro_boarder
I can tell that it's not getting in to the base right because I can see the wax that I dripped on the board not melting. If I work it in I can get it melted, but it is still sticky after scraping it off. I think I'll just have to take the bindings off every once in a while so I can get it really good, and just deal with it during every day waxing.
