Mess Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Anyone ever been to Bretton Woods? We had planned to go to Killington March 20-24 but looks like rain in forecast. Bretton Woods is supposed to get snow showers on 23,24. Thoughts? Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Heard it's about the flattest mountain in New England. Quote
Mess Posted March 10, 2016 Author Report Posted March 10, 2016 Damn. Trying to find somewhere to ski during spring break. My father really wanted to do Killington. He is 65 and not sure if this is the last time he will be able to do Vermont. His legs are giving him problems. Want to enjoy a New England Ski trip with him and my son. Was also thinking Sunday River but forecast looks better near Mount Washington. Quote
toast21602 Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 might be worth it just to try somewhere new and spend time with your dad before he calls it quits. wouldn't want to miss out on that, imo. 6 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 Try Wildcat in New Hampshire. I don't think there is any place to stay real close, but it's a really fun mountain. And yes, Bretton Woods is very flat. Quote
Justo8484 Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 What about cannon? I drove past it last spring on my way to tucks and it looks pretty decent. Good vert, pitch, and they have a tram which is pretty rad. Decent little town with some ok bars too. Quote
mbike-ski Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Lots to eat and drink in North Conway Quote
Mess Posted March 15, 2016 Author Report Posted March 15, 2016 Just Saw 3-5 inches forecasted on Sunday night and 3-5 inches on Monday for most of the ski resorts in Vermont and NH. Might be heading to killington if weather forecast stays positive Quote
Mess Posted March 15, 2016 Author Report Posted March 15, 2016 Well that forecast changed quickly Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Well that forecast changed quickly What did forecast change to?? Quote
tarponhead Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Well that forecast changed quickly Don't panic yet. Current models shifted it east hence lack of snow. Still a couple of days out before the models can sample and get a better grip on things. What is known is there will be a storm. Where? To early yet 1 Quote
