GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Made it to Denver 15 minutes early. Feeling farty. Like 30 degrees warmer than Newark. Wow never seen people hop into the aisle so fast. Very windy here today. Probably worse in the mountains Wind dies down tomorrow wooooo Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Wow, that is nice. Stretch out! Last year when we flew to Az, we changed flights in Minneapolis. A lot of people literally had 3 seats to themselves from Philly to Minneapolis. I had that on a virgin airlines flight from London to Newark. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 On shuttle bus to Alamo. Mountains are getting dumped on. Just gotta get to high country healing in Silverthorne by 645pm. 3 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 I've never come to Denver without terrible stop and go traffic on 70 through Denver. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Fuck 70 is closed Georgetown to silverthorne with multiple accidents. Gonna stop in Idaho springs and catch my bearings prob buy weed there instead. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Got my weed and chocolates and pipe in Idaho springs. The lady asks me what brings me here and I said to buy weed lol stopped at the Kum and Go for a slice of pizza and drinks and I figure I'll be taking Loveland pass past abasin and keystone into silverthorne if the tunnel is still closed when I get up there in about a half hour. Scenic route. If that route is closed I don't know what I'll do. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Sitting at a standstill right before Georgetown exit. Blowing and snowing. Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 6, 2016 Author Report Posted April 6, 2016 Wow in the baller suite. Wow. Fuck that dude. Why wouldnt you just turn around and stay in lakewood or some shit Cause I have a hotel room booked in Silverthorne. Not paying for two rooms. If I didn't have a hotel booked prob would have stayed in Idaho Springs. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 6, 2016 Author Report Posted April 6, 2016 I actually liked seeing the new spots and the adventure of Root finding. Of course looks like 70 is open again. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 6, 2016 Author Report Posted April 6, 2016 Winter Park Country road. Getting closer. Ended up being a 13.5 hour travel day door to door and I enjoyed every minute of it. 2 Quote
indiggio Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Wow in the baller suite. We're vicariously living the Doug lyfe... 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 6, 2016 Author Report Posted April 6, 2016 At Abasin today bought a two day ticket for $159. Skied a few runs so far off lenawee and black mountain express. The 3-4" of new snow is all wind affected even in the woods. Will actually get better when more people ski it. Comical see goobs trying the winds lab from the lift. 1 Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 6, 2016 Author Report Posted April 6, 2016 Where do you think that you will be on Friday? Probably copper or Loveland. Sorry didn't stop and post many reports today was super super windy. Skied over the montazuma bowl and skated like a mofo up the slightly uphill cat track past two groups of people and somebody said wow he's fast. Of course doing that at 12,000 feet had me a bit winded. Some pictures from montazuma. Was gonna stop for lunch mid mountain but not that hungry had a bacon egg and cheese bagel and some sort of pastry earlier from Einstein bagels..prob get the brisket tomorrow at Abasin. Paid $159 for a two day ticket. I think it's a 19 dollar savings vs buying two one day tickets. In the lower mountain woods now sweating. I over dressed today. Temperatures in the high teens and strong winds booting me up had me but on fleece layer which was overkill. Sun this time of year is so bright still don't think it's above freezing. Gonna ski this run and maybe one more then head back into Silverthorne and get lunch and beer. 5 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted April 6, 2016 Author Report Posted April 6, 2016 The interconnect, most likely. [emoji846] I laughed..heard the resorts are connected by rollercoaster. Wahahahahaoey This was a nice run on the backside. Still lots of untracked think this was like 11am. 3 Quote
phillycore Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 The Doug lyfe looking good today.... Looking Much better than the usual karaoke Wednesday's 3 Quote
Shadows Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 The interconnect, most likely. [emoji846] A gondy from abay to keystone to breck is completely possible. Monorail would be sweet Quote
