I'll probably get another one for the larger garden even though it won't be roof-fed. It doesn't take much rain to fill the barrel especially considering your shed roof is not that big. How to you plan to fill the next one if it won't be roof fed? Quote
toast21602 Posted July 17, 2019 Report Posted July 17, 2019 Raspberries are coming in nicely. Blueberries are pretty much done for the year. Picked a bunch of beets that were ready to be pulled. Just need to clean them. 3 Quote
toast21602 Posted August 11, 2019 Report Posted August 11, 2019 Getting a good beer harvest this year. ~10lbs today and that’s about 1/3 of what’s in the garden. They were great for dinner. Quote

I'm thinking you buy it at some organic farmers market and use it all as props to impress us. My 2 pot plants survived transplanting at the end of April despite near freezing temps into May. One is approaching 8' and the other one is about 6'. Since I wasn't around to maintain, it'll be below average yield. Parsely and rosemary survived. Basil died. 2 1 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted August 23, 2019 Author Report Posted August 23, 2019 Can’t say too much about the vegetable garden, but the flowers are happy 3 Quote
toast21602 Posted August 30, 2019 Report Posted August 30, 2019 Picked the first cantaloupe of this season. About 12-15 more slowly ripening. 3 Quote
toast21602 Posted August 31, 2019 Report Posted August 31, 2019 Tomatoes should be wrapping up soon, peppers still going strong, squash starting to turn, more cantaloupes, and pulled the rest of the beets. Been the best growing season we’ve had yet. 3 1 Quote

AtomicSkier Posted March 23, 2020 Report Posted March 23, 2020 My version of gardening from this past weekend. I have a whole bunch of stones as an accent in one of my beds under my Japanese maple. Over the years, mulch had washed down and hidden most of the stones. Digging through mulch to put all the stones in a wheel barrow, clean out the mulch, and put them back, was quite the chore. You can see before/after. 3 Quote

Yup. Plenty of time on my hands here too. Chester, montgo, delco, and some others are on 2 week stay at home. At this point i need to look into having mulch delivered to give me another project. Im running out of things to paint with what paint i have on hand. Quote
