Ride DE wouldn't you need permission from the land owners? Even if it's private land aren't permits required to remove trees???

If you are clear cutting, you need permits. But if you are trimming, then you don't have to. In Delaware we can timber full properties with no permits.

There is no way you can legally go onto someone else's private property and cut their trees down without their permission.

No disagreement there. However, if it isn't posted, the argument is harder to make in court. I know plenty of people who have gotten off on that little technicality.
