toast21602 Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 2007 First year I was legally allowed to drink there. I use the same mug every year. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 I threw mine out when I moved last fall but I think it was 2012. I have zero plans of going to Musikfest but I will be attending the great Allentown fair. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Save the PASR days for at blue 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 Shadows I bet you'll ski this season. Quote
indiggio Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 There were no such things as Musikfest mugs the first years that I went... Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 How many extra ounces of beer do you get in the mug. I don't think musikfest became popular until around 2000. I don't ever remember going to Bethlehem as a kid. It was an old steel town then not as nice as Allentown. Then a lot of money got pumped into downtown and the southside. Quote
indiggio Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 (edited) Original mugs were 22 oz., current mugs are more like 20, but you can squeeze in the extra 2 if you fill them to the brim. Original mugs weren't "insulated", just cheap plastic with painted logo. My original mugs have pretty much lost all their green paint. Since the insulation in the mug is just an air gap, people have taken to drilling a hole in them to get extra beer. It was quite popular for us since Moravian was right there... Shadows Posted August 4, 2016 Author Report Posted August 4, 2016 Last year was my first mug. Real generic. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 Two of my friends wanna go to musikfest tomorrow night I haven't been in four years...gonna try to get out of going. Not a fan. I think shadows is more excited for opening day of musikfest than opening day at Blue SMHerman Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 who is performing? I know Run DMC is performing tomorrow. It's mostly hippie jam band organic groove shit or polka. Quote
Schif Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 My mug is 2008, then I went back in 2009 and I haven't been to Musikfest since Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 The Great Allentown fair is my Jawn I even have a countdown clock going..only like 25 more days!!!! I can't stand tickets. First gotta wait in line for tickets than convert them to overpriced food and overpriced beer... Quote
Shadows Posted August 5, 2016 Author Report Posted August 5, 2016 Thats the appeal of fest. I can walk from my house, carry beer in a back pack and just fill my mug up. Walk around. 1 Quote

GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 arent the police like super strict about bringing your own alcohol into musikfest? No idea never brought my own. Probably the best thing about musikfest are all the slutty jailbait chicks but I got my jailbait fix a few weeks ago when I watched girls beach volleyball at Sportsfest. Quote
indiggio Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 (edited) arent the police like super strict about bringing your own alcohol into musikfest? Nah, they've got too much to do watching the teeny-boppers up on Main St. We used to pack the kid's stroller bottom with beer when he was an infant. There are a bunch of local bars, breweries, restaurants that will fill mugs for cheaper than Musikfest and typically have better beer selections. I think BrewWorks is having a special beer for the Fest for $5/mug. Best slutty, jailbait chicks I've ever come across were at the Allentown Fair main walkway. Do they still have the rude, crude, dunk the clown, hurling insults at people? We used to go just for him! He used to mock this short guy we went with. He spent a fortune trying to dunk him. I remember my Dad taking me to the demolition derby up there: Hurricane Hell Drivers. We also saw Billy Idol there one year. Edited August 5, 2016 by indiggio Quote
Shadows Posted August 5, 2016 Author Report Posted August 5, 2016 Ive never been to bikeweek or whatever spring break is but musil fest is pretty high on the list of places you can get hammered at in public. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted August 5, 2016 Report Posted August 5, 2016 BoBo the clown wasn't at the fair last year. He was awesome. He always insulted me. I think the dunk tank was rigged as my brother in law hit the target hard and BoBo stayed dry. He always used to make fun of me he'd be like look at that guy with his mom lol Quote
