poconoceancity Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 Has anyone ever been to Eagle Rock in the western Poconos? Quote
Papasteeze Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 was going to go after a saturday at roundtop ended up passing the exit and decided on JFBB - 2 years ago we had good snow and I heard some OK things about it, like, no crowds! Quote
skimom Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 We bought some investment property there, so we've been there, though I haven't skied it - iceman (AKA skidad) has with some of the mumlets. I have hiked their hill, which is about the size of Big Boulder, and it has a reasonable pitch. Their snowmaking is causal and their lifts are slow. They are only open Fri-Sun. The good thing is they never have lines. Poconooceancity, if you want to try it, e-mail me. I can probably get you a free pass. Quote

We arrived at Eaglerock and didn't wait in any lines and there was plenty of good snow, since the traffic on the slopes was minimal. Do you have a home there or land you are holding on to? Quote
skimom Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 Just some land. If I knew it wouldn't turn into the mob scene Northridge has (at CB), I'd be more tempted to build on it. The good thing about it is, it's out of the way. The bad thing about it is, it's out of the way... Quote
