theprogram4 Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 i dont think you guys realize how much fun human slalom can be. ive learned that on freedom park days you have to get creative. for instance, when riding down the hill, see how many snowboards or sets of skis you can ollie over cause dumbass park rats leave them in the middle of the trail From their Twitter page honestly thats not as bad as i thought it would be Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 26, 2016 Author Report Posted November 26, 2016 Did freedom get steeper over the summer?? Quote
enjoralas Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Yeah, pretty empty so far on Tannenbaum. No features over here 1 Quote
enjoralas Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Just hanging out on the lift right now. Couple of morons forgot to get off at the top and it shut down. LOL. Been sitting here for about 10 minutes, they can't seem to get it restarted. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) 6 runs on Tannenbaum (empty) 4 on Freedom (fairly crowded, but not as bad as that pic from yesterday). Calling it a day. Thanks to the 4th/5th grade ski passports it cost only $25 for all three of us. Not remotely amazing but step 1 in the kids getting their ski legs back after 8 months off. 4 weeks from now they will be in VT. Edited November 26, 2016 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote
enjoralas Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Stuck to Tannenbaum the entire time, was solo today so just ran laps. 22 runs later I'm headed home. Stopping at the service plaza for Burger King or Quiznos Quote

momskeeztoo Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 22 runs not bad for opening Boulder. I missed it. In Atlanta visiting son and his girlfriend for Thanksgiving. I wonder if they will be open next Friday evening, as I'm working next weekend. A little rain in the forecast this week, as well? Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) Started drizzling just as we left. They plan to close midweek and reopen next weekend. Negligible base so it could be at risk but they somehow stretched it so there were really no bare spots through early afternoon. Edited November 26, 2016 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote
poconoceancity Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 They will be open next Friday night and will be able to replenish what they have a couple nights this week. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 22 runs is impressive, even if it is a short trail. Doesn't matter as long as you enjoyed it. Quote

jeff Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 I'm thinking of going this afternoon with my girlfriend.she is a beginner. I think tannenbaum is considered a blue but does anyone know for sure? I think she would be able to handle it. I remember it being pretty flat and reports are saying everyone is hanging out on freedom anyway. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted November 27, 2016 Report Posted November 27, 2016 (edited) Tannenbaum would be easy for a green. It just appears as a park on the official map, so no trail ranking, but it has no park features this weekend. Couldn't really ask for anything easier to ski on other than a slight incline you walk up and ski a few feet down on. Edited November 27, 2016 by Ski2Live Live2Ski 1 Quote

theprogram4 Posted November 28, 2016 Report Posted November 28, 2016 stayed on tanneumbaum the whole time cause the line for freedom trail was rediculous. i think tannenbaum may be even shorter with less incline than freedom lol Quote
