tnt Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Oldest daughter and I. Coming from central Jersey, 2 hr 45 min drive in the morning including one bathroom/coffee stop. Left at 6:40, on the chair at 10. Ticket line was out the door, but moved fast, lift lines were marginal. Like maybe 5 min. Three top trail sections all feeding into the same lower section. Tons of snow on those trails, temps, in the high 30's, resulting in spring corn on opening day.... Trails were crowded at times, but not terrible. By the end of the day the steepest top section - Cliff? - had super nice large moguls and the lower sections had some nice small bump sections. After a quick home-brought lunch, was basically ski-on to the lift. Had enough by 2 - 13-14 runs, something like that.... Drive home was 3 hrs. even. Great, great what to spend Black Friday. So glad we went. Would gladly pull the drive again to try that Hunter West area if it opens up this year. 2 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Nice report. Hunter west is sweet. Annapurna is a great run with a double fall line. Quote
Ride Delaware ? Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Nice trip report TNT. Way to get after it. I don't mind Hunter. Don't think West has ever been open since I've been going there. Sometimes that upper funnel gets scraped off early, but the corn probably prevented that from being too apparent. Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 2, 2016 Report Posted December 2, 2016 Looking to follow in your tire tracks this weekend, probably Sunday Quote
