guitar73 Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 tinymoose and I finally got our first day yesterday in at big boulder. expensive lift tix for only 2 trails open during the day ($40). we rolled into the lot around 9:30, got our tix, booted up, and got in line for the tannenbaum lift around 10-ish. snow was quite nice and grippy with little signs of icing up yet. they were blowing snow all day, which made each lift ride up the hill very cold. the one trail (tannenbaum) was not crowded despite number of ppl I saw in the base area....thank you slow lift. we called it quits about 1:30 and headed over to boulder view tavern for après. it def felt good to be back on snow! 3 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 Nice report way to get after it!!! Sucks that they didn't open love park until later. 1 Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 Just before you called it quits (about 1pm) they opened up first one Merry Widow lift then the other, enabling us to get 4 runs from the top in before ending our day at 2. They were still blowing snow on that and Tannenbaum. Before that it was very frustrating. 1 Quote
indiggio Posted December 12, 2016 Report Posted December 12, 2016 (edited) tinymoose and I finally got our first day yesterday in at big boulder. expensive lift tix for only 2 trails open during the day ($40). Geez! And I thought Hunter was bad at $65. But then, you didn't have to drive 3 hours... Edited December 12, 2016 by indiggio 1 Quote
