GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Hey all, I'm back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. Had a sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin and hash brown and apple juice from the Whitehall McDonald's and in the lower at 7:25am. The temperate was 37 under foggy sky's. In the house were toaast, root, ryan, Marty, NMSki, the real Kevin Thomas, phillycore, root, atomic Jeff, Enjorales, MBike mike, Indiggio, nastar Glenn, Enjorales dad and many others. First run on challenge was good smooth groomed snow but foggy as fuck. Next run nightmare Dreamweaver was good and turns out the far left had two bump lines...wow just wow. Switchback was good. Sidewinder was alright but has a big dog Booter now and some serious chop. I skied the bumps once and they were kind of herky jerky. Lazy was crazy and then went to the lot and hungout with PASRs..saw Allie for a minute and a half and was still foggy when I left a little afternoon and still lots of people in the house including west Chester peeps and many others. Today was a check yourself before you wreck yourself kind of day and a few had some wipeouts but are ok. Ski everybody tomorrow. Doesn't look like rain til mid afternoon and pleasant temperatures. Let's hope it gets semi cold tonight to set the snow up a little tomorrow. JADIP Just another day in Paradise. Quote
AtomicSkier Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 wow...you put in some serious sessions. today was not great. the fog only got worse. way too soft. the bumps have a terrible rhythm. Quote
RidgeRacer Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 Just got home from a sweet evening session. Foggy but visibility wasn't too terrible. It kept the crowds away. Snow was great. Straight spring skiing. Good for getting the legs ready for UT. NMDW was it's usual goodness complete with bumps down the left side after the first turn. We found ourselves spending a lot of time there. Challenge was decent as was switchback, sidewinder etc. Saw an epic yard sale on challenge. Poor guy lost his board on the upper part of the headwall up top. The board bee-lined down the middle of the trail to the bottom of the mountain. He was sliding right behind it and ended up losing his boots, gloves etc along the way. He was ok. Just in over his head on the mighty challenge. Anyway a ton of fun this evening at Blue to the MT. 1 Quote

indiggio Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 We made a bee-line back onto the mountain just after Tarpon took that picture thinking we were gonna have a glorious, sun-filled afternoon of bump skiing...No such luck. By the time we got back up to the top, the fog was thicker than it was all day and absolutely no sign of the sun! Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 22, 2017 Author Report Posted January 22, 2017 I didn't feel like skiing today in zero visibility and risk injury two days before my trip. 1 Quote

indiggio Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 I had my fill of blind skiing yesterday. I checked the webcams before leaving and everything was socked in. Went back to bed... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote
