Where'd you end up?

Was at Belleayre yesterday and it was solid.  Soft, man made snow on a bunch of bump trails.  Couple of glades open.  Nice day.

I think Hunter is a better mountain if West is open - which it is.

Plattekill is great, but not open midweek.

Hunter is the best ski area in the Catskills but not the best one for intermediates. Belleayre only has two or three blues from the top.

missed the intermediate....

OP said Sunday.  Strike two

driving sunday, skiing monday.

I'd rather ride Platty every day of the winter than go to Hunter one day. Doesn't do anything for me. I can see the allure for you though.

I love Plattekill but would not recommend it for intermediates.

Windham is best variety of intermediate terrain in Catskills and also much more vertical and better lifts than Belleayre or Plattekill.

Too many terrain parks? Lots of boarders?

It's got more of that Magic/MRG feel going on. Not as much snowmaking and grooming. Even the intermediate stuff can be challenging. It would make them better skiers quickly though.

Terrain Park? Barely existent when I've been...
