momskeeztoo Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Good day skiing mostly Canyons side. I just followed Sebastian around. Definitely hardest things I ever skied. Ended up at Cloud 9 about 1/2 hour before they closed. Got free donuts, as they were gonna close and just throw them out. Score! 7 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Nice glad you got after it!!! Quote
RidgeRacer Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Have a great time momskeez. Post more pics too! Quote
indiggio Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Damn! Free donuts? Those are $4.00/ea.  Nice score!  Canyons is ok, but Park City is far better. Drive to Park City if you're staying in the Canyons, unless you want to waste like an hour riding lifts to get over there. Not bad to do once, but a PITA to get back as you have to watch time for lift closures and some of them run very slow.  If you're not into hiking up Jupiter Peak, take the traverse into the woods just below and around the hiking entrance at the top of Sunrise to get over to O & P Zones. You won't get the top chutes, obviously, but you can get most of the run without the hike.  Lots to ski out there. Have fun! indiggio Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 Are the O and P Zones patrolled? Â They're avy controlled, if that's what you're asking. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 They're avy controlled, if that's what you're asking. Ok so you don't have to cross a rope or go through a gate. Quote
momskeeztoo Posted March 9, 2017 Author Report Posted March 9, 2017 Probably hiking Neffs Canyon today. Not to ski, just to hike. Going to Park City tomorrow. I am staying closer to SLC, so driving up and will park at Park City instead of Canyons. 2 Quote

indiggio Posted March 9, 2017 Report Posted March 9, 2017 (edited) Ok so you don't have to cross a rope or go through a gate. Â Nope. Â However, the one day we were running the traverse, we could see the remnants of avy grenade discoloring the snow. Edited March 9, 2017 by indiggio Quote

Haha that's a lot of runs at Jackson hole Now I remember meeting Mamaskeeze late March of 2010 at camelback. I was rapping at the top of the lift for all the PASRs. momskeeztoo Posted March 9, 2017 Author Report Posted March 9, 2017 Yes. I'm not much of a mogul skier. Did pretty good on that half of the trail. Next half took me a bit longer. Quote

momskeeztoo Posted March 11, 2017 Author Report Posted March 11, 2017 Spent the day at Park City. Pics to come. Had a great day, No wifi here, and I'm running out of data. If I sit in a place with free Wifi long enough I'll post some. Haven't been doing much sitting anywhere, just having a great time. 😎 Favorite trail today was Powder Monkey. 5 Quote
RidgeRacer Posted March 11, 2017 Report Posted March 11, 2017 Powder Monkey is a cool trail name. My favorite name ever is "Here be Dragons" at Solitude. 1 Quote
