GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 16, 2017 Report Posted March 16, 2017 If Blue plans on making more snow I think they should go for May skiing. With more snowmaking and a below average April I think they can do it. They'll sell tickets if they're the only game in town. I don't feel like I'm dreaming the freaking lake in front of my apartment just froze over and birds are flying back to Florida. 1 Quote
momskeeztoo Posted March 16, 2017 Report Posted March 16, 2017 That would be fun. They probably wouldn't sell many tickets. Quote
toast21602 Posted March 16, 2017 Report Posted March 16, 2017 That would be fun. They probably wouldn't sell many tickets. If they could have one lift-served day in May, people would flock there. Lots of people show up to ski BB in May and they sometimes don't even have a lift running. 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 16, 2017 Author Report Posted March 16, 2017 Usually I'm anti vista only opening but that would be the likely trail... 2 Quote

tnt Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 They should build a dome over vista and go year round. 2 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 They should build a dome over vista and go year round. I was thinking over the entire mountain!!!! I don't like skiing for the outdoors I just like the sliding on snow part and speed. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 1 out of 2 isnt bad Huh Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) They should open the indoor ski area they already built for Xanadu at Meadowlands about a decade ago. Edited March 17, 2017 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote

Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) With what money? Financing on that entire complex dried up with the global financial crisis of 07-08In may they announced a deal to bring in Snow Operating to on this as "Big Snow America" - now looking to open fall 2018, also with a water park and theme park there. I take it with a few grains of salt at this point. But more likely to open indoor skiing in an already built structure 10 miles from NYC than at Blue Edited March 17, 2017 by Ski2Live Live2Ski Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 Ski2Live if Xanadu opens the indoor ski area how many times a year do you think you'll visit it? Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 Not a whole lot probably. When they first talked about opening it I lived 5 miles away and I thought it would be a great place to teach my kids without being too cold or far. Now it is 40 trafficy miles away, and it would be small and quite likely mobbed with lousy skiers crashing into eachother. I would check it out as a novelty in bad weather and see what I thought of it, but probably would not want to spend a lot of time there. If my kids wanted to get into ski racing it might be a good place to get them training for that year round. Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 Would be like skiing freedom at big Boulder. The one in Dubai looks awesome. I'll ski there sometime. Quote
