GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 Hey All, Back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. The temperature at the base was in the low 40s and near 50 degrees at the summit to begin the day..mad inversion yo!! In the house were JFDan, Root, Ryan, NMSKI, Justo, TheDude4bides, Enjorales, Nastar Glenn, Terry, The Real KT, Toast, Rose, Indiggio, Tarponhead, Slim, West Chester homeys with the cowbell and many others. Conditions began as semi firm spring snow and changed to full on spring pretty fast except for the bumps which took more time to soften. Challenge had a few skeet spots up top but decent coverage otherwise and pretty smooth. Razors had bumps on the right that were semi glacial early and semi smooth spring snow. Nightmare was free of bumps and wide wall to wall nice..Dreamweaver also good. Paradise was thin to bare in a few spots it was rowdy. Lazy mile was fun to ski a few skeet spots in areas that were bare the other week. Main Street was so nice early some nice grooming and fast. Switchback had a few technical sections but generally good. Did one Burma and back fairly early with a foray into lower Widowmaker which unfortunately wasn't tits deep but had some unskied firm spring snow..Burma was nice save for a few rocks in corners. With the inversion early skiers and riders were greeted to a gust of warm air midway up the lift. It was like a hairdryer and very moist and some rain drops fell sporadically. Had some good parking lot beers and the sun is shining in the A. JADIP 4 Quote

Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 Had fun til 2. Probably my last trip to Blue this year as I am not optimistic as to how much will survive the coming waves of rain. But nice to have a 5th day here and 25th overall. Quote

indiggio Posted March 25, 2017 Report Posted March 25, 2017 No reason they had to close at 3! Rumor mill has it that they had a wedding reception at the summit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My inner TP4 is about to come out but I'm pretty annoyed by this early closing today...rain never came to fruition and I couldn't make it out by 3 but could definitely be skiing right now. Would've been a good night too. Thinking about BB or JF if they're open tomorrow. Ugh. 2 Quote
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 26, 2017 Report Posted March 26, 2017 Forecast for Montage tomorrow learn up around 2. If I were going to ski in PA tomorrow, I would go there for closing day. Quote
