Popular Post Barb Posted May 4, 2017 Popular Post Report Posted May 4, 2017 My son called yesterday and asked if I wanted to go to Arapahoe Basin with him today. Weather was forecasted to be 45 and sunny. They are on spring pricing of $76 per ticket. I ordered one online the night before for $55.99. We got there close to 10am and it was pretty empty. First run was mid mountain back to base to warm up my legs since I have not skied in 2 months. Conditions were good at mid mountain but turned to shit half way down; icy crud. The rest of the day we did tums from top to mid mountain. That was he sweet spot. Considering it was close to 50 degrees it was pretty good. We were both sweating out asses off. He wanted to do some runs on Montezuma Bowl and I stuck with what I had been doing. Broke for lunch at noon *for Doug* I had bison stew, he had bratwurst. Both excellent. I took one more top to bottom run and called it a day. He went top to mid then up one more time and met me at the bottom. Conditions deteriorated a lot after lunch and bottom half was super sticky. GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 4, 2017 Report Posted May 4, 2017 Nice report. Have you ever skied in May before? I haven't in about 15 years Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 4, 2017 Report Posted May 4, 2017 I don't remember you being that into late season skiing. Now you have to do a June day at Abasin. Quote
Barb Posted May 4, 2017 Author Report Posted May 4, 2017 I am not and probably wouldn't have gone but I can't pass up a chance to spend time with my kid when he asks. 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 4, 2017 Report Posted May 4, 2017 If I had a son id prob take him to play mini golf followed by ice cream world then teach him about the birds and the bees...I'd be one of those cool dads like you see in Disney world commercials Quote
indiggio Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 If I had a son id prob take him to play mini golf followed by ice cream world That's what we used to do during the summer, down at the beach. He loved putt-putt golf and ice cream. Got off easy then. Lately it's been ski trips to Utah, VT and college tuition bills! Not getting off easy anymore... 3 Quote

Plus you have a son so if he gets married it's up to the brides family to pay. You just have to do the rehearsal dinner which is way cheaper. 1 Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 Abasin has a deeper base now than 3 weeks ago. Day 150 for John Buckhouse. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SWtSnd2fVYQ Quote
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 He monetized the video. What a faggot Any youtuber that's legit and not already a millionaire monetizes their videos. Creating decent content isn't cheap. Quote
