Papasteeze Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 Why doesn't CB's lift go to the top? The paved loop at the top of the Ridge is clearly well above the where the lifts teminate. Why did they stop? The park office is up there, why don't they expand? Quote
pyro_boarder Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 I'm not sure, but it may be because it is a state park. Or maybe to keep people off the back side. And it's only 20' or so from the peak. Quote

I thought it was less then that, but you may right maybe from the Sullivan lift to the highest point. ... Ok it's about 50' vertical from the Stevenson to the peak and about 100' from the Sullivan lift to the peak, but the highest point straight out from the sullivan is only 20' higher. BTW Highest point on camelback is 2133' above sea level. Courtesy www.topozone.com Quote
skierboi Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 i didnt think it looked like 100 Quote
sibhusky Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 I am sure it is something to do with the state park. It's only been in recent (say last 15) years that CB took over maintaining the park, etc. in return for being allowed to expand. At one time there were actual rangers there. Quote
