Between tonight, tomorrow night, Tuesday night, and around the clock Wednesday, Boulder should almost be guaranteed next Friday, even with the niar on Monday night/Tuesday morning. With temps in the low 20’s Tuesday night, and a high of 29 Wednesday, I could see a 3 PM opening Wednesday depending on what they put down the next two days. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they opened with two trails or added the second trail by the weekend, but it depends on if they start building the base now.

Blue looks much less likely for an opening on the 17th. Even Root Friday looks iffy with current temperatures...

Root, will you head to Bell if Blue isn’t open Root Friday? Hunter is pounding the mountain too, but it will be twice as busy...

That’s the plan.

Boulder might be blowing on more than just freedom.  the webcams show snow on top of big boulder lodge.  Thats a long way for snow to travel from freedom.

Maybe RideDE? called them.

Little known fact: I’m actually what is called an “early season snowmaking planner specialist”. I’m on retainer with most resorts to come up with an early season snowmaking plan that maximizes their chances of opening as early as possible without blowing a bunch of snow that will likely melt out.

They will announce Tuesday that they are opening Friday at 3.

You really think they are willing to pull a camelback?  (Announce opening and not make it)

normally they announce an opening 3 hours before, not 3 days.

Welcome back guitar! While I've only been here 1 year and 2 days I notice everyone comes out of the woodwork this time of year. Now all we need is EAF.

Aren't you watching sportsball though?

i usually have to leave BB at 11:45am on the 10:00am opening days for 1:00pm games.  4:25 game on sunday so it wont matter, plus the eagles are gonna get fucked up by the saints anyway

Sounds like a game you can skip for opening weekend...

You have better self control than me.  Hard for me to go more than an hour without checking PASR

I find I’m so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head.

BB early season is a tradition at this point, just like roughly 2-3 weeks of upper lot at blue.  it would be kind of depressing to not start and end the season at BB.  plus, my 3-4 BB trips per year are really the only time i exerperience the poconos.  blue is techinically in the poconons by like 100 yards, but culturally it is not the poconos

Judging by the eagles logo under theprogram4's screen name I doubt if he misses many eagles games.
